They made it "online" because it's mechwarrior "online". Gives it a nicer ring than the original "nominal". I haven't played it in ages but I think it says nominal in game

A movie trilogy or tv series based on the Warrior Trilogy would be the best move...it'll attract all the GoT people, and also grab the Pacific Rim crowd.

Personally, I would love the Jade Phoenix to be adapted, though it might be better to wait until the universe is established to go into the Clan's mentality/culture.

There was an animated tv series back in 1994, but it lasted only 13 episodes and was not well received by fans of the tabletop game.

Its not far off... at least eight years ago. There really hasnt been much change to the game since then. Also Irc there was a huge dustoff over the trailer saying "all systems... online" instead of "nominal". Seems those comments were removed. imho PGI should have thrown the VA under the bus and quickly re-edited the video.

That would have been Steiner - Kurita has a modicum of combined-arms sense. (and sadly, I usually side with the Lyran Commonwealth and it's incompetent 'Social Generals' against the Draconis Combine and its fearsome Sword of Light regiments...)

Yes...when they plunder it from defeated Lyran units (manufactured by Defiance Industries...in *Lyran* space). And they while they do field the platform often enough to have a variant considered 'theirs', they don't unwisely field ENTIRE UNITS of nothing but the heaviest 'mech on the market, without consideration to any tactic beyond "hit it with the biggest hammer we have" - that dubious distinction (which @Lesolan was erroneously attributing to Kurita) goes to the aforementioned Social Generals of the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces...

Depends how good a shot the pilot is. 1 well placed AC20 round is a kill, and "10 ammunition" is for 10 salvoes, so more than you'd suspect. And lasers don't have ammo... And then if it was tabletop or the upcoming Battletech turn-based game, it could CHARGE FORWARD AND RIP THEM APART WITH ITS BARE ACTUATORS! >: D

That Myst Lynx is annoying Candor, kick it into next week! ;) :D I want meelee in MWO to kick and smash all those crotchhuggers! :P (Though they often forget just how low that AC is...... :D ) Also remember Jet, we all rebuild our Atlas's Mine with Endosteel and a 350 engine now sits comforably on 4 tons of ammo for the UAC-20, 4 for the 2SRM6+1SRM4, 1 Ton for the AMS, one GECM, and it does 59.3 kph to boot! ;) (350 standard Engine+a bit of speed tweaking for the win! ;) :P ) Oh yeah and two ER Small lasers.
