I am a medical student at the University Of Auckland (UoA). I have created this channel to show what medical school is all about while I document my journey as a medical student. I will also be sharing some tips and advice for the admission process!

Hey! Honestly I didn't do that well on my UCAT, it was a very average score. I didn't study for it much since Sem 1 was quite tiring. My strategy was to do a free mock one without studying for it and to see where I was at. Then I just spent more time in the areas that I didn't do too well in. There are many resources you can use online. UoA puts 15% weighting on the UCAT which really isn't much, so people who get scores in the 30th/40th percentile can still get into medicine if their MMI score and course grades are pretty high :) Hope that helps!

Hello, what should I do if I am going to study at UCAT right now? I know what is UCAT about but am stuck on how to study. How did you study UCAT at the very beginning? Does professors teach UCAT or is it self study

Hi! I have answered the same question on another comment if you want to have a look at that? Unfortunately professors do not teach you the UCAT, it is something you need to study yourself :)
