The most interesting thing that I forgot to say is that a new keyboard appeared on the market. With this model, Medeli showed that a decent instrument can be made for a decent price. I would be happy if Medeli made an instrument in the range of PA5 or Event also for a reasonable price, which would finally let Genos, PA5 or Ketron Event know that their keyboards are too expensive. Competition is a fantastic thing especially when the player is new and fair with the prices. Recently, Korg Ketron and Yamaha have been paying more attention to how much they will raise the price of the instruments than what is offered on the instrument.
i dont and Ive had a akx10 and yamaha modx for years and it sounds brilliant quality build it got sone quirks it has an incredible touch screen kicks even genos butt made by ASM Hydrasynth divison which i also own
Agreed one cannot compare it to Event that has sounds of such a high quality sounds like it comes out of sound libraries. Unfortunately Medeli AKX 10 not available in SA. Many thanks. Regards Andre SA
My friend I respect what you are saying if speaking about hardware there is no comparison but how the instrument is programmed and what the features are configured in the software is what makes it enjoyable to make music. The live performer may not understand what I say but the style programmer and creator knows how a keyboard can make it intuitive to create styles on a keyboard. I agree that ketron has strength in live department but there is a need for midi style making and this is where for me personally a cheap keyboard the Roland E-A7 made an impact on my decision in early 2016 and still makes an impact on me today where I am only looking to replace it if something can really offer me the features (not specification data) that allow me to be creative. In all honesty I am still waiting for a Roland arranger keyboard which has not come disappointingly. I had a look at medeli , ketron. Korg and yamaha but nothing resembles or overtakes roland on the features that matter to me in style creation as a middle eastern to keep this in mind even korg comes already programmed in our country but the programming software is poor and comes locked most people on korg rely on loops for styles and that's not convenient for me.
I have great respect for Roland arranger keyboards and their sound. I own a BK7, which is a cheaper Roland model, but in terms of sound, it belongs to the first class of sound. Roland has always made first-class sounding instruments and it's a real shame that it's not in the class of the PA5, Genos or Event Ketron. I hope that the rumors about a new keyboard in that range are true and that Roland will make a big comeback.
When buying an instrument, the first thing to consider is the sound. When buying a toy or something for fun, we can talk about the relationship between the price and what we get. Regardless of how much it costs, due to the sound, it does not enter the category of a serious instrument, so the fact that you get it for that price is not even important.
