thank you so much for your videos, my family is native but we are extremely whitewashed and i never had anyone to teach me things like this. this channel has been so helpful in my journey towards reconnection with my indigenous culture.
I’ve had the Privilege to meet Debra Boy Buffalo Bigelow as I’m studying to be a CRM (Certified Recovery Mentor) and she is one of the Facilitators of my class. I am so excited to implement the Medicine Wheel in helping people suffering from addiction. Thank you, you’re an excellent presenter
Back in the 1990's I participated with a diverse group of women in moon ceremonies during the full moon phase. We would be up til 2 am in the morning. Stories were told around the fire. One stands out to me, is how and why our moon times began. Thank you for sharing teachings on your website. For the last hour I have listened to some of your videos. Miigwetch!
The Medicine Wheel is the House of Great Spirit we are living because all true life comes from this House those that choose to live outside of the House are not entitled to the Blessings Respectful people go round and round Forever
#3 Tool for knowledge - We have this common tradition in the Philippines, most typical prior colonialism. I feel so connected with the indigenous culture that shared history in my country from Eurocentric tyrants. Thanks for the info please keep uploading vids.
@@MalloryRoseCo I'm grateful of the Canadian Indigenous curriculum I had from school but my journey did not end there, I'm open to holistic knowledge and evolving not only to myself but also sharing it with others. The videos helped me to further that purpose compare to a few questions in citizenship tests. 💞#Toronto
Thank you Mallory for this very informative explanation of the medicine wheel. I am not a native but I feel very deeply connected and drawn to the native people.
great teaching mallory! i think this is a great idea putting our teachings on here so we can share it with others that dont quite understand....thank you!

@@MalloryRoseCo ru-vid.com You both have the same amount of subscriptions - Also - Mi'kma'ki - South Africa - Tibet - Sweden - 4 International locations responsible for holding universal knowledge of the medicine wheel.
Thank you for these teachings . And also something I learned is that the colors change also depending on the environment as we live in different environments. continued after . I am indigenous from different corners, of Turtle Island I'm a Combination of many, at least four, nations and Celtic . at least two of those those. The Celts were the European indigenous people who were treated in kind. And by that I mean oppressed. Their children stolen too. They also believe in the circle. so those teachings, and colors change . but we lost so much through the genocide of our culture and our people's knowledge. And if it wasn't for our cultural reclamation. The comfort and understanding that cellular memory is real. And discovering, the comfort, that we are all connected. All our ancestors and all our relations, without them we could not be we would not be. I can't imagine my life, trying to heal the Brokenness without that knowledge. They tried to bury us but we were seeds eh. Blessings and Truth For All and blessings for solstice our most powerful day I have gratitude for you
You're welcome, Gretty. Many of our elders have encouraged anyone to participate in the indigenous culture, it is open to anyone and our teachings celebrate inclusion, diversity, and our culture is meant to be shared.
You have such a wonderful personality and articulation. Thank you for the lesson which was a joy to listen to. (My only question was already answered, re the four elements: Earth, Wind, Fire, and => Water.) Thank you again, and I look forward to reading the smudging guide and checking out other videos.
Holy smokes! I truly appreciate this video list! Ya really have clicked My understanding buttons and confirmations for four 4 so many things n I now know I am on the right path to take n excited to learn tools that just make sense and can actually be able to understand and use on my journey. I’m am so thankful to finally be able to pick up knowledge so easily and just know in my entire being ! Thank You,so amazing!!!
Love the channel! Thank you for the knowledge. The Cherokee sacred colors are very similar, except that we have blue instead of yellow in the 4 cardinal directions - in addition, we have up, down, and center represented by yellow, brown, and green respectively.
Thank you for sharing! It's fascinating to learn about the variations in sacred colors across different Indigenous cultures. Your knowledge adds to the richness and diversity of these traditions.🧡
I am a crystal grid worker and I have been getting messages of patterns and placement of my crystals I wasn't sure where this information was coming from at one point I just thought I was making it up as time went on my intuition became stronger one night I moved my desk that has my main grid on it to another wall... a woman came to me in my dreams and told me that I did not place my grid facing north sure enough when I woke up I checked it right away and I was mixed up in my direction I thought it was an ancestor but now I believe this woman was the White Buffalo Calf Woman who has been working with me for a while! this was a really good video thank you so much💚🌏💚
thank you i am native myself i don't know alot because most people i know are white only for my mother and my dad so thanks for teaching me! i am also doing a protect about it at school so hi from the kmaq tribe!
Glad we could help. We have a lot of other videos about the indigenous culture and a video about reconnecting with your indigenous cultural roots if you're interested. ❤
I am making different shaman drums - horse- buffalo-bear. moose- and cow - is there different prayers to bless and empower them for the blessings each animal represents?? any assistance or suggestions would be very welcome and appreciated - as well as a fire circle opening, protection, and blessings.
Tks for your teachings - I have heard of the Medicine Wheel and your explanations are brief and very much to the point! I had a problem downloading the poster as well as the smudging booklet?? Will have to check into why from this end. Keep it coming!! Miigwetch.....
So in the PDF Medicine wheel you sent me, there are different elements in different directions. That has Earth Air Fire Water and they are with E, N, S, W, in that order. I'd be curious about the differences and also what is the difference between Air and Wind as elements? Thanks. Your videos are great.
Grandfather Roy Wilson of the Cowlitz has written several books on the Medicine Wheel, and how many teachings from other spiritual belief systems agree on so many things. He also explains some very complex teachings that are still over my head. Adding up and down to make it 6directions. Spirals movement ect. While I don't understand all of it. It's obvious that the Wheel is a complex spiritual tool capable of many types of learning. It's fascinating!
Kurt ~ FYI ~ You can actually make it 7 directions.... The 4 directions + up & Down + your heart which would be for the Creator... making 7 directions...
I have a question about the four sacred elements. In this video you stated they were earth, air, wind and fire, but in another video you stated they were earth, wind, water and fire. Which is correct? I'm trying to learn and just want to clarify for my own education.
We actually have a program that is coming out really soon! It offers a deeper understanding of the Indigenous teachings including the medicine wheel, smudging and the sacred medicines and putting everything into practice to help connect with yourself. 😊

I'm confused is the East our spirit brother 🦅eagle a fire🔥 or water💦 element ? And East is the season of winter? Thank you. And blessings to you and yours.
Hi, it depends on your Indigenous teachings! Each culture has a different story/representation of the Medicine Wheel, some even call it a different name! :)
I had a medicine wheel that my wife's uncle made which he was a medicine man, fall off our mirror in our room...Im trying to understand why this happend to us?
It could be the wind.. maybe it wasn't secured properly.. maybe it was a spiritual energy that moved it to communicate something with you. Ask yourself how you felt afterwards. Were there any other signs that suggested communications or significant feelings?
As a teacher you should identify yourself, your community and state that you are Indigenous. There is so much appropriation that introducing and self-locating yourself is important.
