Hi there, thanks so much for making this video. Unfortunately, I followed your process step-by-step, and my SSHIP launcher still says that kingdoms.exe isn't in my folder. Would you happen to have any other or follow-up tips that may remedy that? Not sure why it won't work. Thanks again!
@@ThingThings i had it too! but i know what I did wrong. when you extract the files make sure the destination path (location) ends with: mods/SSHIP and not mods/. because then you don't actually extract them.
thank you. i have not been able to play SS6.4 for years now as I always got the message unable to find kingdoms etc. I did not know how to fix this as I am not very good at this kind of thing.
If you are having trouble with small window mode. "Inside the SSHIP_098 folder open configuration, go down to video and put windowed=false." You´re welcome!
I don’t understand I do everything you tell me an copy and paste rename my folder to kingdoms.exe and when I try to run it it still says unable to find kingdoms.exe even tho ITS RIGHT THERE it’s really frustrating and I don’t understand this can u tell me what I’m doing wrong ?
Hello! I followed the guide but it wont launch and give the kingdoms.exe not found error. I renamed the map and added it but i still get error. Anyone know how to fix it?
Had this mod a few years ago and it was definitely the best medieval 2 mod there is . . . however. For me it crashed all over the place. New version better?
ok a bit of trail and error I have 6.4 going on new PC. thank again for you video it was a great help in getting this far. would you say HIP is better than 6.4
I downloaded the newest version sship 0.98 but its only a small window. cant set it up in fullscreen in the settings. can you help me out, there are more people out there with the same problem
Followed instructions have used other mods before like DaC or Elder Scrolls however it keeps crashing on my 3rd Turn as the Kingdom of Poland?? Please advise
hit a problem. I have a new PC. I dont have 6.3 and 6.4 downloaded on it and in your tutorial you have and you use those files. I cant find 6.3 to download anymore. looked at the HIP files i downloaded and dont know how to proceed in installing them
The creators say that for windows 10, it needs to be installed outside the program files folder and made windows 7 compatible. Any idea how to do that? I can't seem to make it work, the guide at the forums is not detailed enough for me to follow
@@Stratega_Digitalis I just did it the standard way at first, but tons of crashes resulted with the turn 300 being a total breaking point where I couldn't even load a save without a crash. The devs have said that the process outlined in my comment above will reduce crashes related to virtual store, but it's a little confusing to me as to how to actually do it.
Diplomacy is totally broken in this mod.. you cannot get alliance in early campaign and even if you crush your enemy they won't accept to be your vassal..!
There are a bunch of videos about diplomacy in Medieval 2 on RU-vid but in terms of creating vassals, it's all about reputation. You have to be constantly creating allies and never starting wars in order to maintain a good reputation, make sure that if you ever enter a war, make sure your reputation is at least reliable and that you have a bunch of allies fighting the war with you (not necessary but it helps). At this point the AI will find it beneficial to become your vassal because you aren't a psycho murderer that destroys towns and stuff and will become your vassal. This also applies to vanilla and i've found getting vassals very easy as England, I once had 4 vassals which were France, Hungary, Scotland, and Moors.
I can't install. followed this setp by step but it doesn't work. I'm installing on steam and there must be a missing step. btw im installing the 0.98 version from twc. any ideas?
ok. so i figured out where I went wrong. But now I have an issue with the launch screen. its not filling the entire screen. any ideas on how to fix that? its only a small window
