I woke up this morning thinking Happy 365th Anniversary to US Adriene. "We" have practiced together everyday for one full year & how wonderful that this is the practice you publish today of all days. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for changing my life & for the 27 less pounds of me. xoxox

This was a tough one for me today. Meditation doesn’t come easy and I’ve been experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort in my back and neck for some time now. It was hard to not get distracted by it, kept pulling me out of my focus. I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to do the full 17 minutes but I persevered and was surprised when I got to the “one more minute part”. I’m hoping this months meditation focus will help me to detach a little from my pain and help my body not go into panic mode as much when it flares up. Thank you, Adriene, for all you do.

Meditation is also good lying down, (with knees lifted if need be to ease the lower back for example). Find a comfortable position for you. The notion of grounding just works on a horizontal plane instead. Hope this helps.

Adriene’s guidance and gentile voice allowed me to imagine that the line down my spine took on a healing glow and surrounded me, grounding me to the earth and the sky. My divergent thought’s melded together and resolved to acceptance, forgiveness and calmness. This emotional release was quite unexpected, but the unexpected can happen when you open to the possibilities. She may never know how her instruction affects us individually, but I’m sure she has seen enough responses to know how deeply she reaches us at times. I’m glad to have included her in my daily practice.

It's been a long while since I meditated, it's hard for me to make myself do it, but when I use your calendar every day, it comes naturally. I needed that, I feel more connected, rooted in my whole being than ever ❤️ I also got a reminder how truly precious and important meditation is to me. A few tears even visited my eyes. This isn't on this months calendar (delight), but it's what my body and mind needed today, along with my practice yesterday that also wasn't part of the calendar. I felt a peace I haven't felt for awhile, a calm that I've been missing and a realignment I didn't know I needed until I fell the quickest I've ever fallen into a meditation. I had thoughts pop up briefly, but as soon as I was grounded they vanished and along with them so did the feelings attached to them, feelings that I thought I had let go off months ago, hopefully now they are gone. Thank you, Adriene, for creating this space, meditation and community where speaking about a practice is so easy to do so openly without any fears of judgment, but a knowing that whoever sees these comments may be feeling a similar way or may find something that helps them in someway, you truly are a bright light and are always there it may not be in person, but these videos come pretty close to that. 💖🧘🏼‍♀️🙏🏻

I meditate almost every day and I can tell you to those who are just starting, it is different everyday. It’s hard to tell where I would be without it because you can’t look into the past, but I will say I’m glad I keep this promise to myself everyday.

Sometimes when I can’t decide what practice I want, I like to put on these meditation videos and doing a moving meditation/ listen to my body and stretch to this beautiful soundtrack of gentle and loving and grounding words. Thank you always 🙏🏼

Seyhan Sakalli meditation is definitely a practice for sure. I tend to begin floating away with my thoughts and am reminded to come back with breath. I learned through watching Adriene! She’s great.

I recommend reading “stress less accomplish more” by Emily Fletcher . It used to be hard to meditate for me too but she completely got me super excited to meditate everyday

Adriene, I need to tell you that I started this practice on my mat on 2 cushions for comfort but even then before half way through, as always, I get pain in my upper legs which seriously distracts from my meditation. It’s an arthritis thing and it really spoils my concentration. So I stopped the video and moved to my sofa where I can sit up tall almost pain free and enjoy this practice with you. In future when a meditation practice pops up I will do it this way and not try to persevere on my mat. After we finished today I feel an awesome calmness as if you have slowed down my busy life ! Blessed Beloved Beauties! Root Day - 11 is a sweet reminder of the significance of being still. It's peaceful and one of my favorite YWA meditations. Now, I will transition into some breath work before my asana practices, run 🏃🏿‍♀️ and weight training.💪🏾 Best wishes, everyone! 🦋♥️🦋

Hello yogi friend, I & my husband got corona three weeks ago, I'm still caughin a little. Today was first day I thought I could manage yoga and this was perfect. I fell earlier in February while cross country skiing and I pulled my left hip joint and had problem sitting cross legged, but this was helpful, I did need some extra support for my left knee. I did manage to take our dog for a walk on a forest trail with some tiny hills. We have sunny days around 50 F, still snow on our back yard, but Spring is definately here. We had all our children at home during Easter time, it was great to spend time with them. How was your run, how's the weather out there, did you run outside? I think I stick with walking the trails in the woods to get my strenght back, and my hip joint definately need tender streching. 🤗

@Hanna Löfman Beloved Hanna! Oh, no. It has been a challenge for a couple of weeks. Thank God you and your husband are much better.🙏🏿 That has to be frustrating with your hip injury. It could've been worse. Definitely, give your body plenty of time to heal. I have been enjoying indoor runs 🏃🏿‍♀️ on my treadmill. Although my husband and I anticipate returning to the gym soon. I need some new running shoes before I return to outdoor distance running. 🏃🏿‍♀️ Quality time with family is so much fun. Many family members gathered a week ago to honor 🎖 my late father, Barry, the marine. He elevated 10 years ago on March 17th. He loved family cookouts, so that's how we celebrated his life. 💕 Best wishes with a speedy recovery!🦋♥️🦋

I just have to Thank you for all the good and equilibrium this meditations brings to my life. While doing this meditation today I literally cried, but not of sadness, cried because somehow I felt peace and conected to myself. I still find the easy pose to be quite challenging. The beginning is easier, but as I maintain it I become fidgety because my feet are falling asleep and my upper back is starting to get sore. Last year I would've skipped this practice in favor of more aerobically challenging options, but I stuck with it!

Very glad that this suggestion popped up on the screen right after I finished up the video for Concentration & Focus. This allowed me to round off the morning practice with some steadiness and loving kindness. Yay for the fifth consecutive day of doing yoga since I discovered this channel. I naturally wake up very early, but typically spend my mornings reading and playing on my phone, thinking about how I should be exercising instead. Not today! I woke up excited to resume my practice.

I have to admit the stillness is really hard - I did the practice with some stretching at a very slow pace and focused on my breathing and it did help me :)

I'm one of those people that have trouble meditating but I want to be able to do it. So I've been trying out your videos. However, this month's theme scared me a little, to be honest. My back hurts, I easily lose focus and I feel like I'm missing out on the ''illumination'' that meditation seems to bring everyone. All of these made me actually anxious for a 17-minute long meditation today. I actually got anxious over the idea of meditating if you could believe it. HOWEVER, this was the easiest meditation and the most calming I have ever done. Thank you, Adriene. You make trusting you so easy. I'm a newcomer to the YWA community and I cannot wait for the journey I'll take with you. Best wishes and lots of love to you, Benji, and anyone else reading this! Meditate Day 9! It is actually day ten for me but still, having done this one previously, O feel this one is a pleasant one to return to now and again. When Adriene mentions returning to the breath after a thought carries us away, I find it helpful to relax as there is an ever so slight tension that arises with thoughts. I relax that and then put on a smile as I return.

After a tramatic experience in the ER which brought me there because I thought I was having a heart attack but discovered it was gullstones, the nurse who put in the IV needle hit a nerve instead of a vein and would not remove the needle. I fainted, went into a seizure, then had vertigo and threw up for 6 hours straight 😭. I was recently diagnosed with PTSD and I am on medication but I just started following you and doing your relaxing exercises. Thank you so much! 💞

I just need you to know I've looked for a yoga teacher for a long time and You're the only one that I connect to. I've just started your meditations as I'm quite mentally exhausted, life hasn't been kind. I've come to realise I need to give myself love and patience and understanding. Since starting meditating in May/June this is one of my favorite go-tos for guided meditation. One of the first times I did this one I had a very clear feeling-thought of "I am exactly where I need to be". Woah! What does that even mean? Doing meditation in general? Was feeling restless and couldn’t sleep tonight. Found this meditation and I helped me so much! I was able to relax, acknowledge my restless thoughts, and let them go again. Thank you so much Adriene!

not gonna lie it was my first time doing any sort of meditation..after a couple of minutes I felt like I'm hanging in air..It felt like i couldn't feel my body, I felt weightless. Thank you so much for making me explore these awesome gifts of life ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Namaste 🙏

My lower legs went to sleep after this, I couldn't get up..so I crashed into shavasana. Your one of the first who managed for me to stay in meditation longer then 5 min Adriene so kudo's to you :)

Thank you. This is the first video of yours I've watched and this is the most efficient method I've found to use as a grounding technique. I was worried I'd be out of it all day but this really helped ♡

This was lovely to complete the last day of the 3 day at home retreat. As I was meditating the sun was coming through my blinds and even though I had my eyes closed I could see the warm yellow colour. Magical 💫 🌞

I really enjoy your yoga classes and your guided meditations, I have found them to be lifesavers at certain points. Please can you keep making more meditation-videos :) They are really lovely guided meditations.

i am so grateful this was included in the october calendar. started the day with my anxiety disorder acting up but i got myself to sit down and breathe with you - and i feel much better. theres nothing better than gentle loving breaths and tending to your mental health

I have found your meditation sessions to be amazing. I have done your entire selection of free meditation videos multiple times and continue to use them daily and would quite happily pay a subscription fee for more. I have tried all sorts of applications but none of them succeed in bringing together the mind and the restless body together in the same way you seem capable of doing. I love the lack of pretentiousness and feel I am visiting a friend when your videos start. You have a great talent for this :)
