@@amyk0102 keep at it and dont react too much within your brain,you can do it...if you dont try to hard...learning to still is probably more important...dont get up...your subconscious mind will force you to get up....just dont get up from wherever you are sitting
Meditation may have demonstrated some consistent benefits to brain and mental health in some experiments, however, the way it is understood and practiced today is still as unscientific as it was in ancient times. I think scientists should try to uncover the actual beneficial parts of meditation in a scientific way rather than just follow the old traditions of meditation blindly.
Whatever real benefits may stem from practicing meditation (and I'm agnostic on the question btw), Deepak Chopra is not going to further the cause in the minds of the rationally sceptical. I'm afraid he's already poisoned his own well far too completely to have any credibility with that constituency.
