Sinata Minacciosa (Sonate Orageuse / Stormy Sonata) is in one movement, composed 1931 when the composer lived in Paris.
Malcolm Binns (b1936) during the 1970/1980s was noted for his advocacy of several of the major Medtner works. He toured extensively and gave many Henry Wood Promenade performances and BBC broadcasts from his extensive virtuoso repertoire. Another feature of his recitals concerned British composers, also performances on earlier keyboard instruments such as pianos of Beethoven and Chopin's era. This Medtner performance was part of a BBC broadcast recital in 1980.
