Meek & Quiet Spirit | Biblical Womanhood | Week 11 

Sometimes I want time for myself to help me destress. Sometimes it's just a bubble bath. Sometimes it's reading. I don't do it because of pride. But I have a lot of stress and sometimes I just need to try to relax and have a little bit of time to myself

Self care IS very important. There has to be a balance though. Self shouldn't come before duty. So I'm a mother and I do what I need to do to take care of my family yet I DO take some time for me. For example if I'm so busy I DON'T take time to pray, bible study, spend time with God I am not as patient, I don't have as much energy, remember Mary and Martha . One was working her self to death and one took time to sit with Jesus. Now the world's definition of me time is different than Godly time that you need. If you remember JESUS took times to ve alone. The sin is putting YOU infront of God and others.

I am so guilty on this one, we had friends coming to town to stay with us, I was like a crazy person all week trying to prepare, getting my house to look a certain way and all those things we women do. When I should just relax and enjoy our time with them. Ugh. Thank you totally needed this!😊

Okay, so almost every instance you threw out is me. I'm loud, I come from a long line of loud people. I get aggravated WAY too easily. I yell at my kids way more than I should. I don't invite people over, because I don't like the way my house looks and it's cluttered. When I do things I really don't want to do, I grit my teeth and go fine, I'll do it but I'm not going to like it. Having a meek and quiet spirit is something I really TRULY want to have. I just have no idea how to get it. I'm praying really hard about it. Funny this is the topic this week, because after last week I could really use an eye opening look at myself, and really weigh what in the world I'm doing. As you know last week we started back to school. Well it was only the first day, and my nine year old was complaining about everything. Finally I lost and yelled and screamed. 🤦🙈 Not my finest moment. That continued all week. 😬😫 It's not all the time, but right before my monthly visit I'm just a really horrible person to be around and I hate it. I hate yelling, and hate getting mad so easily. But I've been this way my whole life. My Mom and sisters are the same way. It stinks. I keep trying to fix it, but I really don't even know where to start. So something I told my husband yesterday was, Everytime I go to yell instead I'm going to change it and talk really low. Who knows if it will work. But I'm to the point where I'll try anything. I don't like being this ugly, loud, proud person. 😕 Can't wait to see the rest of the week. 💕💕

Today, I was reflecting on rebellion. You got me at the "me" time. I feel this is my self care as a single person.

I have been independent for a long time- since i was a child; became a little loud with laughing in church- I have never had my parents or grandmother to teach me how to be a lady; except my grandmother asked me in my 20's who I was going to marry.I am 52-I had been in church for a long time; even went through Bible studies like this one.I need prayer; I know God has called me to be a missionary in some way; to minister to others; but I want to follow God's way and go in God's direction.For 5 years, I had went on another path of finding relationships- and maybe this has destroyed the testimony I had; but I am back in a Bible- believing church and serving there. I have been working in the corporate world and have been single- my father and not thought ahead of how to provide a home for me to stay.I think by example I have been taught to work; now I wonder if God would help me get out- but not be homeless on the streets?( I have been homeless before for the years of 2015- 2022),I finally, again got me an apartment.Please pray for me.Either to get married or go to a ministry that is full supporting.Thank you.I want to tell you that the link you shared does not open up to the link for prayer- it goes to a pornographic site, or another website that is for an advertisement for Mc Affee Antivirus protection.

Ask any guy what he finds most attractive in a woman and I bet having a meek and quiet spirit comes up the majority of the time. Beauty fades but these attributes don't. Congrats on almost 1K! You guys are doing an awesome job, heard someone mention you guys on another channel :).

My story of meekneess (with friendships, not husband) Im easily imposed person, when i have a friendship, i would love them and submit to their plans when they are not busy but it's hard in these days, it's considered as weak and people like get taken advantage of :(( stay strong my friends, keep being a kind person even if people walk all over you because Jesus likes people like that 🥰 C'mon guys lets practice kindness not just with husbands or wives, also with freinds 🥺💖 it's so underrated loll 😘 Jesus standards, not ours!! ✨ Who cares if people walk over you when Jesus smiles at your kindness 🤗

Oh! Girlfriend telling 👏 it 👏 like 👏 it 👏 is!!!!! I need to listen to this every dang day. I’ve always been loud, cranky, etc. and I’ll always have to work on it!!

I disagree that we si not need self care or me time. We do need me time. If we do not take care of ourselves we can’t take care of anyone else. You cannot pour from an empty cup spiritually or in general. Jesus had me time when he chose to pray alone away from the crowd. That is a form of me time. Some people are overly stimulated easily. Some people have to de stress. God wants us to renew and refresh our minds and find rest in Him. Soul care with the word of God is a form of me time much needed. Our bodies are His temple and we have to take care of it aka also consider having “me time.” It was great i just do not agree with how you mentioned the me time. Thanks for sharing though 😊

I love this content and it definitely needs to be heard with direction of culture. However, I absolutely disagree that you don’t need me time. Even Jesus pulled Himself apart from the disciples to pray. Please pull yourselves apart to pray and then serve. I understand we should always be praying and it isn’t limited to a space, but I believe wholeheartedly that was Jesus’ self care.
