Hi Sis, I just prepared the meen kolumbu , and immediately commenting here.. It came out very well, very tasty, even in hotel I haven't had like this 2 things I added extra, 1. Added 10 small pieces of mango 2. When kolumbu was boiling added this powder ( pepper, fenugreek, cumin, mustard fried in pan for 2 minutes and grinded to make as powder) . Thank you for the recipe, I tried it today it came out so taste. I didn’t have the clay pan, I just used a regular pan. I cooked it with Frozen Tilapia fish and came out good even with just that. I wonder how awesome it would be with the clay pot and fresh pomfret fish, it must have been out of this world. Yummy 😋

Just one suggestion: instead of putting garlic and onions as whole, just grind it coarsely in a mixie along with some curry leaves. It will take the dish to a different level! Trust me on this! Also will give a thick consistency. That’s the trick that has been in my family for centuries.
ramya Sankar I have tried this today. Hopefully it taste well! I added the coarsely mixed items at the first stage togather with the fengu seeds and mustard seeds.
