The metal things over the trucks are braces to prevent the screw heads from digging into the deck slightly and causing stress cracks. Durability wise, this design is preferable, especially if someone were to overtighten those screws. With that said, these antisink braces could be way thinner.
Great video! After 200km with the Hurricane I completely agree - after you reach 45 km/h, the trucks get too soft, also the slow down when you get off the throttle is too harsh. I have to try the different bushings setup.
Just got my Hurricane a couple weeks ago. Would love to see videos about modifying the board, comparing it to others, and testing its durability. Also, I wish Meepo included a handle because this thing is super heavy!
The prices of metal on the top of the board are awesome once you crash your board you will find out what they are for. Instead of demolishing the deck you just get scratches on the metal plates it totally protects the board. Regardless, nice review!
I like the metal sink plates being raised It gives the top of the board more protection Gotta keep that carbon pretty :D We won't talk about the bottom of the board though
Another epic video. Definitely got me with “is Ricky compensating?” 🤣. Definitely need to do the water test 👍🏾 And would love to see the atlas if you can get hold of one. Still can’t believe you got this out super quick. 😳 love it. Can’t was for Ricky’s review. Nice one 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽👊🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awesome Review! One area that is tough to review and often undervalued is the customer service. I received my Hurricane 2 weeks ago with a broken charger. Meepo has been responsive, but still has not sent a replacement. It's takes so long to get anyone to send an item. While the price is much more affordable I'm seeing post after post discussing BMS issues as well as battery charger issues. Thanks again for the awesome review!!!
Amazing video. I liked how you added the bloopers and made it funny and entertaining. It didn't feel scripted or like you were acting. The only other board I would say is close or maybe batter and close to that price is the own board zeus or the more expensive one the zeus pro. The water test would be a cool video to watch. Close to 5 to 10 min and wait like a week before drying it off to see if stuff rusts or gets damaged.
3:37 Don’t use the trigger to stop cruise control. Press once on the power button to slow your dissent without hiccup, then gradually accelerate using trigger.
Meepo seems to be more into brake regen than other manufacturers, compared to my other electric skateboards - they don't engage brake regen even if at all untill you hit the brakes. It really seems like meepo engages it very lightly as you let off the throttle. I've also noticed my meepo straight up gain range from brake regen , where as other brands it really doesn't seem to be a priority!
Please feature long board safety gear for high speed travel. Some boards go 70mph. It's scary at 18mph. I'm still testing what's right for boarding. Facing trucks correctly or incorrect. Eliminating wheel bite.
Just want a bushing replacement recommendation and a UK retailer recommendation. Thank you for your great channel, been a skater forever but getting older now and aiming for van life, so charging off of solar is my game.
The main problem I've had after a week of riding is flat tires, the stock tubes always come with holes in them. Have had to get tubes from Onsra hopefully they work better. I've only had two flats in two years of riding my Evolve GTR board but I can't morally give Evolve more of my money after their motor overheating situation.
I stumbled across your channel looking fo advice on electric boards and found your videos to be amazing, I was also wondering if you where ever planning on doing a review on the backfire G3 as it seems to have gained a lot of popularity the past year
Had mine about a month now. I know what you mean about the bushings. Tightened down but still not ideal. I weigh 95 kg so would like any advice on what type to get. Very good review.
My boys are backkkk .. FYI, the meepo hurricane stock AT is 55T.. i mentioned the same thing about the acceleration.. the hadean actually has a better acceleration from a stand still. But once 10-15mph happens, the meepo takes off
@@stephenhartley3292 if u prefer higher speeds, yessir.. one thing i try to stress on my channel, is personal preference.. for me, id prefer a overall BALANCED board. meaning GREAT quality, great features, great power, great innovation, great remote, great flex, great options (meaning accessories/different color wheels, hubs, pully sizes etc etc) , great speed, and most of all, great customer service. if in spending over $500 dollars, i feel its a lot of money. and i wanna protect that investment.. so to me its not just about speed itself. but everyone has there personal preference for the Win 🤙🏼👌🏼
Hi this board is rated IP67 waterproof is this correct. That means it can work while submerged in water for 15min so it should be able to plow through puddles and rain? Is this correct?
Even if you will be far from first reviewing any of the popular boards right now it is still very interesting to get your views and tests. Ownboard Zeus Pro should of course be on the list. Backfire Hammer perhaps.
I'd recommending buying the 29t pulleys and getting smaller wheels and the range will go up, You got to play around to get higher range, Also if you push on the throttle you will not get any good range, like any high power ev
Submerged in water? No way. Also do not like the "protective" cover around the motor cables which I have experience with, low mechanical protection and lets water in. Would also like connectors for the motors.
It would be greatly appreciated if you looked at boards WITH kick tails... they are rare. I have an evolve stoke for almost 2 years and need to upgrade. What even are my options ? The challenger ? the wave ? that one i'm forgetting ? ... -_- !
@@averageeskatereviews I watched them. Im guessing its the challenger vs stoke video(s). It was very informative / helpful. Thankyou Looks like im waiting for the stoke v2.0 o_o
@@averageeskatereviews no problem I was just wondering cause I just bought some new pulley for the board I had to check and make sure I didn't buy the worng one lol
