Thank you for sharing! I have several crested geckos. For now (until we move sometime this year) the are in bio-active twenty gallon converted tanks. After moving they will have 16x16x20 or 18x18x24 (haven't decided yet) pvc custom built. Sadly, for now there is a space limit.

I love seeing other people's crested gecko enclosures! I'm in the process of converting an old piece of furniture into a crested gecko enclosure with a diy background, so I love getting inspiration from reptile RU-vidrs

I hope the diy background bioactive viv I've built, for the crestie I'm going to be getting in a month or two, works out well for it. I'm happy with the results, but I'm uncertain about the wood I've used. They're all spindly branches. I got some manzanita, but the branches are thin and have a lot of forks. I used another forky branch I cut and treated from the Japanese maple in our yard. They're mounted into the great stuff background. I wish I had been able to get some more substantial branches and cork bark. I do have some cork flats mounted in the foam on the bg and the sides. I did a bg on the back and the sides. I think the gecko will like climbing on the wood when it's active but I think it will have to relax and sleep on the plants, which should suffice I believe. I have two snake plants and a Janet Craig draceana, and a small three leaved black velvet alocasia, among some other plants. Any idea how cresties do in vivs with a bunch of thin branches? I had to resort to more cost effective wood unfortunately. Still, I spent $60 on wood! Wood is so overpriced, imo

Awwwww so cute . My Splodge is a rescue. He’s about the 3rd the size of a normal crested at nearly 2 years old. But is very lively ! By the way . I think Ralia is a beautiful gecko 😊 Mines are all Bioactive with the substrate and I’m currently re vamping them in turn with plants .

Hi Jessica, Roshi is a soul mate for my male Crested Gecko, Twiglet 🦎. Twiglet likes to jump across his terrarium and also sky dive into his live pothos plants 🌱.... (He has destroyed quite a few 🥀). Has coconuts 🥥 at top, middle and bottom of his terrarium 🥥. Will sleep 🛌 in any of them or even at floor level in his live pothos by his pebble pool. He can run quite fast and will jump out on me unexpectedly .

My crestie (Hubert) has those big inky spots like Roshi (is that the correct spelling? Forgive me). Mine loves launching himself across his tank, I hear the noise of him landing because he’s a big boy (10 months and 32g). Your cresties are so cute, I’m obsessed with cresties they’re just adorable.

What temperature do you keep your crested geckos at? I’m in the UK and got one 8 days ago, which is 6month old and minus tail. He/she ate the first day (4 crickets), but nothing since, not even the Pangea. He’s very lively at night and isn’t underweight. I’ve been told room temperature is fine. He is currently in an Exo Terra large tall faunarium and I have the glass Exo Terra 30x30x60 for when he is a bit bigger.

Jessica I have a very important question,how do you take a leopard gecko to the vet? Like what do you use for transportation and all? Because I need to take my baby to the vet soon and I have no idea how to get her there

Just use a small container, like a plastic tote or a Tupperware container. Poke holes for air. Place a paper towel on bottom so they have something to grip. Depending on where you live you may need to provide heat. Put rice in a sock and heat it in the microwave. It can get VERY hot so be sure not to burn yourself or your gecko. Just place it outside the container but next to it or place it slightly underneath. Again be sure to give your gecko space to get away from the warmth of the sock.
