Such a beautiful baby boy! Little red nose! It looks like the younger female want to hug and hold him so bad! She grooms mom and little red nose. She is so close to the baby. Mom is lovely. Her touch is so very gentle. She softly guides her little baby. He is well loved! 🐇
Older footage and I'm just learning of all the moms, aunts, babies and baby snatcher. OK this lil red nose guy looks so much like Dopey and he is just as adorable. Is this possible or am I way off?
His mother was surprisingly patient with the other monkeys that wanted to paw all over her baby. Although from my perspective it could have been the same monkey trying over and over to hold him. I saw at one point she got rather tired of it gave her "the look". Most monkeys of the troops Arroz regularly follow the mothers just don't allow anyone to touch their baby when it's that small.
Speaking of the red on monkeys , missed monkey 101 ! Mr. M.....or anyone ....tell me why some butts are very red....and why some faces are red. ? Thanks in advance .

I know this is several years old but if you were to see him again as a baby, you could have called him Rudy, short for Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer or Reddy!
Marisco: Seeing one of the babies with a bluish tint to the stomach area (Rockstar) sent me off on another technical paper search. Rhesus macaques are favored for study as their bacteria development in the infant stage as it is similar to human infants. However I found something a bit more useful for your general followers: "Basics of Macaque Pediatrics". Somebody wrote a general paper... it might help viewers understand baby development... keep from answering questions. I haven't found the specific answer to Rockstar's blue tummy but it appears there is info.
Those two bald areas roughly correspond to their sitting bones ( ischial tuberosity in human ) and they have evolved specialised tissue there to act as padding.
Well that makes sense... I thought that might be the case but the baby's looked different. Everything about them amazes me. Their long back foot with the thumb. Their front hands that look almost exactly like ours. You can especially tell with the babies the hand details. But my favorite thing are their expressions...especially the ones Mom and baby exchange. Thanks again for these amazing videos!!
