It actually seems well built. It's not all hacked, it's on 1 ton axles that appear to be locked. Someone put some love in it. I love the straight-pipe sound too 😝

Looks like a well put together truck the lift and tire size are spot on . Paint job finished it off a treat. Few engine mods to get it running good and that’s a great every day driver 🤟🏻
Absolutely love this truck so badass! One recommendation I would make if you want to put it through mud and water is put a distributor sock or whatever they’re called over the distributor. That’s a part of what may be making it bog down, the 302 has the distributor on the front like a big block so putting the waterproof cover over it will keep it going strong 💪🏼 love your videos and keep posting great content Westen! Put a Holley Sniper EFI kit on her, that would be sweet and stop any stumbling it has with a regular carb. Also, seal the distributor and make some sort of shroud to keep pond water out of the carburetor, or the Sniper EFI. LOL. Sweet little truck.
I wouldn't put any more electronics on it than it already has. Install a Holley Truck Avenger and never worry about it again. They are designed to run at angles and for trucks just like that
@@rediron44 I've had mud trucks all my life, and once I switched from carbs to EFI it cured a lot of my issues and worked great. But yes, there are a couple of carbs that work fine like the Holley Truck Avenger. and the Holley screens you mount up on the dash are water-resistant, you can splash mud water all over them they're fine. But of course, you wouldn't want to run them underwater, but if your dash goes completely underwater I think your Holley screen is the least of your worries with that truck. lol.

Make sure you get an off-road carb. I had that same carb on my international scout and it always died in hills. It’s the incline and all the fuel going to the back. The off-road carb will let you go up steep inclines.
I remember seeing this thing on Facebook marketplace and when it sold I couldn't think of anybody crazy enough to buy it. Turns out you did! Glad to know its in somewhat safe hands

It really is my absolute dream to rip around in a beast like that. I have practiced my whole life driving different machines and vehicles to do that, lol. One day, my dude!
I've been working at a body shop for a bit now and extra tips I learned was if you're painting the door, it's better to take off the mirror and belt molding (the trim at the bottom of the window) for a better paint job in the end. The mirror can get in the way, and if you're unlucky, the clear coat could stick in that gap between the door and the belt molding.
