Personally I’d put the original VW centre caps back on. The single best thing you can do to improve the golf is remove unsprung weight, those alloys don’t look that light.

I recall Paul saying one of the main reasons he went for this was for the wheels in comparison with the white one he drove 😂

I’ve got a 16 plate black polo gti with black wheels as well, nightmare to keep clean but when it is clean it looks great 👌🏻 can’t beat nuke spec

I love the look of the Maxton GTI. Unfortunately I'm STILL waiting on my rear diffuser from them.

Not a fan of those new wheels.......in my eyes they don't blend as part of the car as the original ones. I like the diamond cut finish on the originals. The new wheels are nice close up, but not from a distance in my humble opinion.

Nice transformation, ooh the new Nuke, I remember the first one I think it was alongside either the Audi R8 or the first Lamborghini. Only sad thing is I saw a video recently of something that happened a couple weeks ago of an old guy who had a MK8 Golf R being beaten up as he was getting stuff out of his boot and his car got stolen :/ all the modern germans are big targets right now

Black cars look good with bronze or silver wheels. Black wheels don’t photograph well and they show brake dust :(

I think that Aussie GTI comes with crappy 18s. No 19 inch option. No Clubs port either. If you can find one. Golf R is near impossible also. You guys have had the cars for two years before us also. The prices are very ridiculous. Love the look on yours Paul.

I have to be honest the original wheels look a lot better the two tone affect,makes much more of a statement! The new wheels show off to much of the brakes, not a fan of black out spec

I really like the standard GTI looks and the wheels you had look fantastic in person. This would work on a Clubsport but not sure it makes sense on a base GTI personally.

Vossen CVTs are the best wheel for the MK8!

I have 8 GTI and everything u put extra on it, like front splitter or side skirts only makes it less practical for everyday use (getting in and out, crossing over speed bumps etc.) what i think this car is made for at the first place. I also wanted to put some aftermarket lightweight wheels, but by doing that, on the first place car looses value and on the second it looks like boy racers car. So everything from factory is just more suitable for usability and makes perfect balance in appearance.
