She immediately trusted and treated you like family. It's hilarious she even left you to watch her shop while she did her errands. I think Max also has a lady in Saigon who referred to him as her son (con trai), who loves to cook for him. You guys really make good impressions on the locals with your good manners, niceness and sincerity.

Oh dude. The feels. She was so sweet, and I know we've all met so many people like her in Vietnam. I think Max had someone similar in HCM. To see her get all teary at the end also brought a little tear to my eye. So sweet mate. Great video.

I am glad that I still see the genuine character of Vietnamese People in the Urban Cities of the North. I love to see your Videos to believe in this world, there is still many warm welcome and friendly treat. The Urban people living in the North are very kind people though they were very poor. She reminds me of my beloved aunt. I know a lot of the middle aged and old ladies from the North talk and are talkative like that. I know that they are very happy to talk to you guys. They would see and treat any young adults like their own children at home. All you need to do is to be cute (ngoan, not just polite, but cute) and carry the conversation.

that was so nice all around. one of your best videos yet. she was so appreciative of your language knowledge. even 50 years ago when i was at the long binh base and worked off base as a 557th mp i could tell they liked it when some of us tried to learn a bit of the language although we were really not wanted there at the time. it makes a huge difference to try to learn the culture and language. great job!
