Just checked the web site in April 2020. They are still not in production. They are taking pre-orders. $20,000. This might have been cool 15 years ago when there was no competition, but the world has moved . When you can buy a used Nissan Leaf for the same price or less it makes no sense..

Great aerodynamics and especially the fantastic MPGe rating which is double or more than what the average electric cars get. I am going to watch this one it interests me quite a bit.

I live in Texas, which means if I'm driving, I'm going a really long distance. I'm interested in something like this, but a 100-mile limit is a huge no-go for me. If they made one of these, maybe with a propane-powered electric generator I could plug a 20lb tank into that could extend the range to 200ish+ miles, I'd be a lot more likely to get one. I have a friend I like to visit, but he's about 120 miles away. I couldn't even get all the way to him on a full charge.

Look on the web site. Least expensive model is 17k if it was 12k I’d try to finance one ASAP.

i don't know if this EV used to be 12k, but now it's 18k for the cheapest model. Once you buy doors and a small cabin in the back to hold stuff, it quickly rises to 20k. Meanwhile Tesla will be producing a new model for 25k. The arcimoto seems like a great ev but for 20k this company has priced out the majority of ppl. Even if I was willing to replace my car with this I'd have to live in a warm weather climate in order to do so, as it does not have an enclosed cabin.

I like it but it’s just not suitable for UK weather without some side doors. The Renault Twizzy hasn’t really sold here for that very reason. If a version was available with better weather protection, I genuinely think this would work. I’d buy one as I work from home and literally just drive to the gym, town and the supermarket, something like this would be ideal

It snows here in NY. Can I get a 3 wheel drive version? Maybe higher off the ground too? Can I charge the battery in my apartment or use a charging pack of some kind?

Nathan look up the Elio .... problem is they were supposed to be on the road for years now but havnt produced one... could be a scam. THey took pre orders maybe 8 years ago. same concept but gas and enclosed

It really needs an articulating suspension that leans into corners for more fun and really take advantage of the narrow 3wheel profile. It also needs to come with doors standard - esp here in Oregon.

This looks like a vehicle that would be seen on the crowded streets of an Asian city along with the usual scooters, 50cc motorbikes, bicycles and all other minimalist transportation. How long ago and far away was the “we are all going to ride Vespas in the big city”. Wanna buy a Vespa franchise? You can’t text and drive in something like that! Many Americans are hungry for an AV so they can be mindlessly transported to their favorite fitness center, tanning booth, or nct127 concert.

Come on TFL being formly from Boulder you just went around the block. Not much of a test drive.... Are you going to do a more extensive drive? Are you going to actually drive it fast? Can you actually commute in this thing? Lots of questions left unanswered.

i totally read that as Acrimoto and thought the worlds first acrimonious car! it could start off by weighing you and making fun of you depending on whether or not you are above or below the national average. then make fun of your driving, again fast or slow leaves plenty of room for insults and when you shut it off it could say "wow, with you driving i cant believe we made it, now leave the key inside so some hooligans can steal me"

what does an average street legal motorcycle cost ??

They changed the title of this video - no longer says $12,000. I signed up for one at that price, gave up waiting and plunked down $22,000. EDIT - in 2023 the newest version will meet the goal of a $12K vehicle announced in 2018. In 2023 dollars that will be around $15K.

Does the cost of producing these Electric Vehicles cost more pollution? What happens to the battery dies out? If you get hit by a car, truck, or any bigger vehicles what are the chances of you surviving the accident? If you are sitting in the back you might need a helmet. Lack of visibility is dangerous but lack of protection is also dangerous. If you get stuck in traffic, with an open cockpit you’ll be breathing all that vehicle exhaust pollution. But I see great utility use for it, and great use as facility patrol vehicle...

I dont know about this one. I’m sure they will sell some. I’m putting my money into AYRO.....I think this thing will go the way of the smart car. Although It my be good for short trip food delivery.

This looks huge to me. Would like to see it next to a Fiat 500 or a Smart car just as a size comparison. Also the guys boot toe is bent up so no room for your legs? Not really high tech with the bicycle brakes. Why not a wheel rather than handle bars. It looks like a ride you'd sit on at the fairground. It's neither one thing or the other, open to the weather so maybe fine for Caribbean. Why would you even video this in the rain? Not sure if Munro can improve it, they did for the manufacturing of a golf cart but the thing still ended up looking ugly and like every other golf cart. The concept is interesting but I think they missed nailing it. I did buy a few shares to encourage them along. Still think it's a monster.

I suppose they could have a line of them called PUV, practical utility vehicle for people who are practicality orientated. I don't think I have ever thought about fun and a vehicle ever.....perhaps exhilarating, but not fun. Fun + activities is usually something I associate with children. Anyway just for you, because you are doing a job, I will use the word fun in my comment. FUV, stands for fun utility vehicle....... ............... until it starts raining.

It needs good ground clearance which looks pretty poor, because on bumps it will strike with road.

It's a lot of MONEY, for what you GET, and the RANGE is NOT not GREAT, for that amount of money, when they can OFFER a 300 Mile range , maybe it's a PROPOSITION, and they WAS NO MENTION of CHARGING TIME ? 110 or 220 V ?
