Yea and average people don’t have the time, money, ect to even do this. You legit need to be wealthy to do this. I can’t take off a year and drop 150k for this. Also if I have a family, man it’s just too much you have to be a single wealthy man with nothing going on.
@taro2k There are published medical studies to show that most people who need gender changing surgery, already have been born with the brain structure of the opposite gender. It’s a neurological condition with no other cure, not a choice. This is why it’s “accepted by society” because there’s plenty of science to back it up. (Despite the fact that there’s unfortunately people with other mental health issues who misdiagnose themselves as needing it… ) There’s also other intersex conditions that people are born with. The science is very interesting, worth a read if you want to learn more. Unfortunately, it is largely misunderstood by those outside of the medical community.
I could understand why he would want to be 5'9" but 6'0" seems like too much. I'm 5'4" and would like to get this surgery one day to become 5'7"-5'8" just to be viewed as "normal". I guess he also wanted more women because that seems to be the golden standard these days for dating. If that's the case - i can't blame him for that.
I'm 5'8 (on a good day) and I pass for normal, but I still wear insoles and stuff to feel more attractive. And when I'm next to actually tall dudes, especially if they are attractive in other aspects as well, that really tests my confidence lol. But yeah I can confirm for you if you become 5'7-5'8 it'll be alright, I live in Finland and people are quite tall here on average and I do fine
Well thats your preference height folks have their reason to be tall. I’m between 5’10-6’0 (Idk remember how tall I am have remeasure) I don’t think I reached my potential height and my reason to be taller than what I am is for sports
He did what he wanted to do. It's his life. He isn't hurting anyone, as long as he is happy with his results and no damage done. Its his body not mine. He looks good tho :) Amazing this surgery even exists!
His arms actually match the new height because they’re so long…. So people saying his “wingspan is off” are weird. It matches better now than before. I hope he’s happy …. Because now his family will clown him for having the surgery itself…. Because people are trash…

@@SMA_999 When you don't like yourself, it doesn't really matter if your mother, father, brother, sister or girlfriend like you the way you are. Some people dislike their appearance because of others and some people dislike their appearance because they compared themselves to other people and now has internal struggles with how they look.
Stop the cap, he running around here looking like a t-rex now. Not too mention extra long tibulas with short femurs. Men in his situation take that negative energy and do amazing stuff such as navy seals, ufc, billionaires, you name it. He could have gotten way more out of that $65k and his life than breaking his legs and stretching them.
I admire this man not for his personal reason but for being part of this medical breakthrough. If this turns out successful, think about the ones who can also benefit here, like people who break their legs from accident or injured police/soldiers and athletes where this procedure may help. I hope he recover faster and gain stronger bones.
I agree with a lot of the comments in that he could have accepted his height. However, look at all the people that have had breast enhancements, nose corrections, and anything cosmetically that is not really related to actual health. Let the man be!
Im shorter than he was so I can understand the downsides of being short but I dont feel the need to do something as drastic as this. Being short isnt that bad.
In the US people are more superficial and shallow, it’s definitely culturally driven. People in the UK aren’t as obsessed about this stuff because the culture allows people to be more genuine and authentic.

Honestly good for him, good to see someone actually take do something to change their issue. This issue clearly was such a big deal for the man he felt it’s necessary.
I've never been made fun of my height as a 5'6 man, you just need to hang around better people, but I understand that's not a possibility for everyone.
6ft is 1.82m.. This guy should stay away from the Netherlands if he thinks that is tall, he'll start wanting another surgery if he comes here... (not saying there is anything wrong with being 1.82, just saying it's not considered tall in the Netherlands)
The average height in the Netherlands has recently been recorded as 6'0 on the dot. A RU-vidr called Joe Fazer who is 6'2 visited their, and he felt perfectly at home, some taller than him, some shorter, but he said he felt at home. I think anyone visiting Netherlands around 5'11 - 6'2 will feel perfectly average, which is unusual for a country lol
I'm a bit under 5 foot 3 I think (under 160cm) as a woman, and was always so short in the West. But when I was in the Philippines I was tall! And in Vietnam too, I was among the tall women. For my ethnic group, and age group, I'm above median height. Certainly not short at all. It's all relative.
I know his legs will start to look like stilts and be easily breakable if something happens. He will have to put some bubble wrap around his legs at all times.
Im 5/7 i love it at 50 everyone thinks I'm in my 30,s i will not trade my height for nothing to each his own kudos to everyone who want to enhance their looks i applaud them...
It's a shame that he felt the need to do this but if that's what it took for him to overcome his personal insecurities, then I'm certainly in no position to judge. That said, the surgical procedure he's describing sounds like medieval torture. Perhaps further research will yield a much less painful and invasive way of addressing this issue in the future, such as gene editing or whatever.
Overcoming insecurity doesn't change the way people treat you. Overcoming insecurity is just a way to swallow your pain live with it. Not caring. Being 5ft4, i am going for this surgery.

The was on earlier in the week…..Everyone is a unique individual regardless…I can’t get my head around why people have to go to such extreme lengths to make themselves feel good about themselves and feel valued as a human because they are not happy how they look…people don’t have the ability anymore to just accept themselves for who they are, not what they are and just be comfortable in their own skin…social media, tik tok, the internet etc…are to blame for a lot of people when it comes to looks, fads and trends…followers follow followers…more people are becoming like sheep and birds when one takes off the rest blindly follow…..ego, vanity and pride rule this guy.
He’s a good looking man. I’m glad he’s happy with his height but I don’t think 5’6” is super short. My dad was 5’5” and I never thought of his height as not masculine or too short despite being aware he was short- he was also very confident. I went on dates with confident men of that height before I met my husband. I wouldn’t of dated this guy though, not because of the height but because I have a strange psychological hang up regarding neck tattoos and face tattoos
@@Geoyo1983 I'm 5'5 and a half and have dated men my height. I don't think height is the determining factor on attractiveness but I understand most women prefer tall. I don't feel anymore safe or protected with a tall guy. It depends on the man.
that's so dangerous. Plus if you are 1.82 and go the the Netherlands it will be all over with the "being tall" thing. I am 1.73 witch is in the toller scale in my home country for a female. When visiting the Netherlands I was petite compared to other girls. It s all relative.

No I’ve been researching this procedure before you do this operation doctors will check your wingspan if you’re wingspan is longer than your original height your wingspan will be normal after the procedure. And it is also depends on your femur and tibia which are the bones on your leg doctors will decide which bones you should lengthened depending on your wingspan

@@kalipiana3880 of course not always but there are some people that have it and it can make you better and some people aren’t looking for being 6 foot they just want 3 or 4 inches taller so it kinda matches out and there are also arm lengthening so if you want to fix that
This is pathetic but in other videos with him a lot of guys defend him. One even said that if this is pathetic, working out must also be pathetic.. Also, this guy still comes across as lacking confidence so his REAL issue wasn't fixed.
nobody with a broken leg walks normally after 3 months. why do you expect an impossible healing rate for a broken leg on someone who broke 4 leg bones and pushed them inches apart? a broken leg takes over a year to heal completely, maybe half a year to walk normally, but still with issues.
