so nice to see you using the NDP episode to appreciate the pple who literally built our buildings and helped to take care of our kids. sadly i dont think we appreciate them enough or treat them with the respect they deserve. but thanks to all these migrant workers!

I can't imagine going to a foreign land at such a young age to work alone, what they do is so incredibly selfless for their families.

Very moving, thank you for bringing out these amazing stories. Most of us have so much to be grateful for and I hope the migrant worker community can continue to be uplifted in various ways to reap the rewards of their hard work and contribution to Singapore.

I really enjoyed the food at Bangla Lim! Such a pleasant surprise to watch a video of the chef, and hope that he’ll continue to be happy!

Hm not sure if I'm the only one who feels this way, but as I watched the hosts interviewed the girls, I get a feeling that it made the girls a little uncomfortable when the hosts kinda out of nowhere tried very hard to assure them their work is 'special' and valuable. Perhaps it's the edit of the video, or perhaps it's the hosts' bubbly / enthusiastic tone, but it comes off forced / trying too hard to relate to a stereotype / condescending rather than genuinely appreciative. Of course I don't doubt the intention of the hosts; thank you for doing this wonderful project, I really enjoyed OGS's content! And I understand journalism is a craft, it takes practice and experience to be able to talk to random people on the street and what's more make them feel heard / understood / seen. But I think it's worth it to take extra precautions to make sure we are sharing our appreciation in a way that gets our message across as intended. If I am being a snowflake who gets offended on behalf of others here, i.e. the appreciation did get across to the girls, all the better!
