If you go trough the regular entrance enemies have high ground and the annoying displacer is right on top of you - extremely hard. If you go trough side entrance and ambush them instead... then it's just a hard fight XD

@@Mic_Glow It is. If you have a rogue, you can sneak a bomb up to them, take out half, and complete the fight on the ground level. Tough fight still.

@@gavinpryce8280Ironically, I came around the side and passed the check to see them ambushing. I didn't figure there would be dialogue (I mean when you see that ambush, how could you figure there would be any talking? 😂) so I just called lightning on them and used black tentacles to stop them from moving anywhere. Lae'zel with the adamantine longsword (if it hits, its an auto crit) killed the displacer in 2 hits in one turn and the rest was a sweep woth bombs and magic.

@@Mic_GlowIf you come from the place with the dead spider shell, it's pretty easy even if they have the high ground, all you need is either dagger storm/havar's hunger (I got both of the names wrong but I don't know them in English 😭) and they will just walk in it because they can't jump down (some of them might jump out but they will automatically use rush and go back in it).

I had no idea either, i noticed them before entering the room so i went around and attacked them from behind. This was a super tough fight for me, took me a few hours atleast. Now i see this lmao. I love the possibilities of this game

There is a BUG for WARLOCKS. Warlock is a pro contracter, so he passes the check automatically. However, due to another stupid BUG - the line about the song simply does not appear. I switched to Gale to do the dialogue and got the scene from the video. Spent an hour of savescum to figure this out, omg

as a warlock you succeed the line where it talks about the final lines being hard to fulfill automatically because warlocks know about pacts but I don't get the same option to kill him

Annoying thing happened, I already killed the rats first before even meeting Yurgir, so when i did meet him. He's thankful of me already and leaves with a new contract with Raphael, Astarion however is veeerry mad.

Interesting that same characters will have different dialogue for the same ending! In mine, Astarion was worried, “Does...does that count as killing him? That had better count!” and I wonder if it has to do with approval rating? Or random?

Came looking for alternatives because the fight just looked annoying, but I couldn't get the option to show on my Lockadin. So I just went ahead and did the fight, turns out it was much easier than it looked. The minions grouped up and a Misty Step to an Ice Storm and it was practically done. Almost had a perfect lightning bolt, but they were just a little off.

I didn't even know this part of the encounter existed. I snuck around the back, got ambushed by the Displacer Beast's freakin' copy, attacking it aggroed the beast proper, which aggroed the entire group, which left me in a very, VERY bad position with no spell slots and very bad range options. So I reloaded, rested up, brought Gale with Lightning Bolt prepped, gave someone a scroll of the spell, snuck up on the other side of the buggers and let loose. Went a *lot* better than the first time. And, of course, Gale fucking died. Like, three times.

Another option is to actually assist him with ending the song. After agreeing, if you go to the base of the Shar statue and find the ritual site Raphael performed to split the last Dark Justiciar into a horde of rats. Kill all of them (make use of fire/aoes and group up tight worked best for me) and the guy turns back into his normal self. Once he's dead you don't have to fight Yurgir. I found that this quest can seem to bug out if you agree to go for a treasure instead of bothering the rats - they all seem to leave/disappear

There’s a bunch of cool characters you can get in act 3 depending on if you saved them earlier. Like Minthara will show up at your camp and just stay to “help” if you saved her in act 2. And Rolan if you did his quests can activate the canons from Ramiziths (spelling?) tower to help you too. Jaheira gives you a spell that summons Harper sharpshooters I think it is. Isobel gives you a strong healing magic. Etc

Holy fuck, for me, i saw them in ambush stance so i thought it is going to be a fight no matter what and strike first by just using Gale, Wyll and my sorcerer as nuker and nuked them back to hell with aoes while they are surprised

Pretty much my story except i had not take a long rest so i did not have my spell slots. After starting the fight 2 of my characters immediatly got downed. Suffice to say it was a hard battle. Yet after defeating him, this character was still present in a certain fight. I wonder if it was bugged.

I did this first try and I was so happy XD For those who don't know how to do this, you have to pass that initial insight check. If you don't, the other dialogue options won't show up

So I was very excited to come across this part with my friends and he automatically attacked us without the chance to even talk to him. I was just like, “we just walked right down the middle guys!” And then he ambushed us.

"[PERSUASION The lyrics are a trick. You've always had an audience - your followers. Get rid of them." This option will only show up if you pass an Insight check. You'll need to use a character with high enough Wisdom, like Shadowheart, if you don't see it with your main character. After that it requires two Charisma checks.

I realized that i played my Shadowheart assassin so well my first playthrough i missed a lot of "kill yourself" scenes and good dialog lol. Cuz when i had her scope the scene, i set up the best ambushes. Second playthrough i still killed him asap for my boy astarion. Idk yet what I'll do on my third

my problem was that I accidently killed the enemy that binded him there so that when I arrived it didn´t trigger the convo instead he was free and raphael was mad at me, so I had to sneak up and attack him before he talks which was hard because my party has 3 magic dmg dealer, but we put him down. one time my game crashed because one AOE thunder on 12 enemy with explosives was too much

I started as a Bardlock (Bard+Warlock)) and every time the option to persuade him to kill his followers was supposed to come up, something about my warlock patron came up instead, saying that my patron wanted to help the devil. I went back to the undead guy in camp that you find in the ruined temple in the beginning area that can change your classes and went full Bard, and now it's working.

I believe you have to pass an insight check... pick the "you know raphael?" option first(others might work but I know this one works) pick the "perhaps we can help eachother" option, then the "likes of you afraid of a contract?" option, and get him to tell you the contract, and then if you pass the insight check the persuasion option should appear to tell him the lyrics are a trick worked as a ranger

Its important but there are several different branches in the conversation. On a character with trained insight, you can't just go down any of them you have to specifically go: Wait --you know Raphael? There's nothing stopping you from leaving.... Raphael could be anywhere... Show me the contract...

@@PianoConspiracist The high insight is the important part. Any of the dialogue options that keep him talking lead to him singing the contract. You have to pass a passive insight check as he sings the contract to get the trick option.
