Dave deserves a Grammy. I mean for all that he's done for metal and his fans and his comment about how many records is totally relevent because how many people couldve really listened to that other CD? I know that many people arent buying stuff online and did their album debut in the Billboard top 10? You gotta see the frustration that Dave has. But good for him. Grammy or not he'll still be one of the greats in music and no one can ever take that from him.
yeah what a guy!!! deffinatley for president!!! it's odd that like he said he didn't won anything... but the new album was made to be played loud and it's a great work like every other that Mustaine does.
Eminen said the same thing about the Grammy award, and I do agree with them. Basically they nominate big names for the publicity and getting a big excited audience, but always give the award to someone we never heard of. So it's all about politics and power, and after abusing it for to long with this bullcrap they don't hold any respect in the music community anymore.
Its not just that - he has kids; its weird to think about but he's got a 17-teen year old son and a elementary/middle school aged daughter. They listen to his music, so based off that, he knows more and more younger kids are listening to his stuff.
there's no way you can compare. It's like comparing Black Sabbath and Ozzy. I equally like them both. Why choose, that's what everybody wants, fuck them and their decisions. Listen to all the material from both and enjoy. Don't decide which is better, there both great. You either like them or you don't.

I agree that today's mainstream metal is mostly a bunch of mindless noise. Old school Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax had some rhythm and creativeness. Today, it's all about pushing the envelope.
ok fine, fair enough. But Megadeth hardly have an abnormal number of Christian references in their songs. They sing about things (hindrances or otherwise) in our daily lives. Religion just happens to be one of these major things hence the references.

Well no. But that's a musical issue. It's like pairing a death metal band up with an emo band. What he done was refused to play with someone he considered "Satanic" even though those bands didn't have a problem touring with him. He even went as far as to scoff at the death at Dissection's lead vocalist. Wow...the Christian way I guess.
Come on guys... Metal is Metal, guitarists are guitarists. It's not a racial issue... besides, I'm half hispanic and half tennessean so, yeah, it's pretty offensive both ways. Regardless, it's not that big a deal. Besides, most of us won't be able to play half as good as Petrucci or Alexi in our lifetimes so, hey, be pissed at that.
This is ridiculous. Not all of the bands I listen to are extreme. And they're not all metal. Loreena McKennitt and Tori Amos are at the top of my list as well. Ok, something less extreme but in my opinion kicks the shit out of Megadeth is TESTAMENT and early INFERNAL MAJESTY.
So the lead singer has certain beliefs, how does theis mean the band have converted to Christianity? Especially when it is in no way reflected in their songs..
