I really miss Marty in the band. One of the reasons that I became a Megadeth fan was his way of playing. So talented... No one plays like him. Fucking genius.
This is the best sound I have ever heard from Megadeth live. I don't know if it is the set up or what but they sure produced the goods that night. They are unbeatable in a form like that. Marty' solos oh my, the guy just cannot be replaced no matter how talented the next guy is, he even throws in some little twists for good measure. I wish I had been there. These guys have to reunite.
BonuxCouleur Marty was to megadeth what jason newsted was to Metallica. Both left because they wanted to do different things. Both very missed and a integral part of their sound.
Saw them in a little bar in Tucson for RIP. EPIC show. Came outta that with black and blue forearms from being crushed up against the barricade for a few hours standing in front of Dave.
To be honest when me and my band cover this song live I never ever play the solo flawlessly or clean then I have to remind myself that even Marty himself sometimes missed some notes when playing it live.
I never thought the crowd was into this at this time, there was a different sound out that was the new thing, they came to see groups like Korn, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc. Metallica and Megadeth were so late 80's and early 90's.
My late husband traveled with band as the opening act "Culprit" I don't care how good or bad 😆 I'd love to be able to show my son something from his dad that wasn't taped or somewhat fabricated.
...SONG OF THE DAY!!!
