Elliott saved my life. I was so sick. I was suffering for 3 years and my doctor kept giving me antidepressants which made it worse toward the end. My guts hurt bad and I was fatigued so bad that I couldn't get out of bed some days. Then my intestines stopped working and became septic. I desperately looked on internet for an answer and found Elliot. All the symptoms were there and symptoms I had had all my life. I remember getting B12 injections when I was a child. I thought I was okay with my diet. I exercise regularly and ate plant based but took fish college for bad arthritis. My big worry was getting enough protein! My doctor had diagnosed me with fibromyalgia and anxiety. I am going to write him and thank him. I am recovering slowly. My guts are much better. I still have a long way to go. Thanks for this interview. I always learn something I can use.

My story started years ago, over 30 years hearing zaps in my right ear. Fastforward to 2013 I woke in the night to a roaring in my right ear and couldn't walk for my balance was completely messed up. When I got to the bathroom moments later I found my Right ear deaf. I have lived with this condition for all these years with Many Doctors including Mayo saying there is absolutly nothing wrong with me..sideways smily face here. Along the way I developed tachycardia worthy of cardiac Dr.s saying I need double ablation surgery. I already succumbed to a surgrey on my semi circular canal. NO MORE SURGERIES UNTIL YOU CAN TELL ME WHY at the age of 52 all of this would attack me. THere are many more issues I face day to day including loss of consciousness and a stroke and a seizure that no one can understand. I have ordered Elliots protocol and my daughter ordered the starter supplements so I will come back here and let you know how this goes. It ALL makes so much sence. Thank you for the hope.

In 1992 it became law that all grains need to be enriched. The only grains exempt are organic grains. The problem with that is synthetic b vitamins are used like folic acid. Between 40-60% of the population have the genetic variation in the MTHFR gene that impairs methylation. Synthetic vitamins can further slow methylation . People with this gene variation actually need methyl forms like methyl folate. I do better on organic grains or better yet a grain free diet.

My husband has had CDIP for 30 years. No amount of testing during that time could give a diagnosis until recently. It causes a palsy that affects his legs beneath the knees to the extent that last year we thought he would soon need a wheelchair. I had found Elliot on You Tube and listened to his videos. everything he said made sense. I started taking Benfotamine 900mg for insomnia. Within a week I was sleeping through the night. That’s 8 months ago. I convinced my husband to try taking it too. He takes 1800mg Benfotamine a day. He felt tingling in calves after 3 weeks. Now 5 months in and his calves are getting stronger and he is walking almost normally. He still has problem with his feet but we think this will improve over time too. We have always been diet conscious, eat organically as much as possible, grow our own fruit and veg, and take brewers yeast everyday so thought our B vitamin intake would have been fine.

Also, I keep reading about scizophrenic symptoms to take methylated B12 w/folate (NOT folic acid) and B1. Take B12 as methylated B12 vs non methylated in case of MTHFR gene mutation.

Thiamine supplementation might be the biggest supplement disaster ever. Might, I'm not sure, because I don't quite see the mechanism. But there is evidence that excessive doses which are sold in every thiamin and multivitamin supplement (100x rda or much more) are using up magnesium, making every multivitamin user magnesium deficient, which is about as bad as it gets in health consequences. Magnesium levels are rarely measured. "we estimate that up to a third of the general population may be magnesium deficient and that outside of acute clinical encounters or hospitalization, hypomagnesaemia is likely frequently overlooked in general clinical practice." Magnesium Deficiency What Is Our Status? 2016 My understanding of magnesium balance is that there is very little stored (total bone magnesium is only on the order of total tissue magnesium), the turnover is large given large rda of 400mg.

Well this is the one claim I'm not as sure as I sounded above tbh so that's probably a bad sign. I just know every time I take it by itself it knocks the wind out of me. It could instead be using up choline instead of magnesium. The evidence for magnesium is indirect. In general there is very little research on thiamine, and some toxicity reports from the 1940s.

@@Rene-uz3ebWhat type are you using? In other videos he says to start low and go slow. Begin with Thiamine HCL first, then Benfotiamine, then TTFD. Start at 50mg and go from there. Unfortunately, or fortunately, we are all different, which makes it difficult to give a one-fits-all dose!
