Megaman 7 (SNES) - Final Boss - Dr. Wily (No Damage, Buster Only) 

No wonder Megaman tries to kill Wily after this fight.

It's funny how intense and exciting Mega Man boss battles can be when you're doing them yourself, yet when watching someone who's memorized the patterns and practiced a lot, it just looks like a tedious chore.

There is no doubt that this is one of the most hardest video game bosses in history!

Sliding works if the shot you need to evade is flying horizontally. Yet to make it do so you need to perfectly position Megamen as far from it as possible (but not too close to another shot that might catch you in the back) and time a slide so it does not begin too early which causes the shot to fly slightly downwards (it will hit you in this case). The timing is the hardest thing to learn here and despite succesful attempts in this video - I often fail to dodge this attack.

You must've played this game A LOT to even get the orb pattern down! Jesus.... You are the god of Mega Man players. People HATE this boss beyond belief, someone seeing you do this they'll be like, "HOLY SHIT YOU ARE AMAZING!!!" And I am one of those people.

Wily Machine 7 is pure derp, just tries & fails over and over to stomp you by jumping like a drunk on a pogo stick in an embarassingly simple pattern. Then Wily Capsule 7 is all 'haha psyche' and unleashes pure platform hell levels of bullshit incarnate. IMO the hardest boss in any Mega Man game to date. Mad Scientist indeed. If WIly hadn't wasted so much damn money/resources/time making a shitton of different themed robots and just went 'screw it' and mass-produced hordes upon hordes of Wily Capsule 7s and auto-programmed them all to 'spam homing fuckery', he'd own the world in days. DAYS. *cough* Anyway, hats off dude, super impressive gaming skills as always!

It's also a good thing that Wild Coil can be made to go even higher by holding up when a run like this is not in the cards...

Thanks you save states! I was able to practice and I realized how much easier the saucer is once you get the timing down. Except his position as 5:24. I call this the "asshole one" because, despite appearing no different to his other positions, the timing and my positioning don't seem to match any of the others. I can now dodge ALL of his other ones easily, but the "asshole one" is like 50/50. For anyone wondering, when he's one the ground, instead of doing a little hop, you can slide from the middle* to the right side of the screen, and then jump over his shots. You can of course hop if you want to spice things up or if it's easier for you, but for me it's easier to keep to the same strategy. *And by middle, I mean start from the right-hand side of the background cylinder.

Hoo boy. This will be an easy 10 in difficulty when RoahmMythril does it...

For some reason MegaMan 7 was the only MegaMan game I quit cause I couldn't beat wily in his capsule. I eventually beat him but I remember thinking "damn this is the hardest wily has ever been"

Ah okay, I understand now. It's really hard to pull it off. Thankfully he's not TOO bad with E-Tanks. Kind of. But boy is the animation that plays in the credits totally worth it. Mega Man is so pissed that hes not allowed to end Wily.

I didn't even know you could damage this Wily Capsule with charged buster shots... Damn, feels like this kinda diminishes my no damage fight video against this boss, since I used special weapons. Still, it was no damage regardless, so I guess it's not that far behind this battle in terms of skill. Anyway, incredible work, pulling this off. You deserve major props.

I am going through classic megaman games in reverse order without using save states or cheats and this game gave me a lot more trouble than 8, 9, 10, and 11. The Rush Adapter is almost mandatory. Megaman and Bass still gave me the most trouble though and I beat it with bass. I have beaten these games before with checkpoints, but this time I am doing it legit.

Крут, как всегда! Правда, рисковал сильно. Все время стоял четко под капсулой. Если же встать не прямо под ней, а чуть в стороне, противоположной той, куда делаешь подкат, вероятность получить повреждение уменьшается (не такой жесткий тайминг) И еще когда капсула появляется прямо над землей, проще делать прыжок вверх близко от нее, а не уходить в самый угол. Вообще же отличное забиение.

You know I was finding some success after switching to the rocket pack after beating the stompy Wily with regular megaman. The double jump can vault you over all the orbs if you time it right. But its still dam difficult.

No shot you did this with only the buster and no damage taken!

wow, You are so good. I can't do a no hit run against this boss. I can however beat him with no energy bar and only using buster but that takes like 17 tries.

For me sliding doesnt always work. When he's semi-close to the floor, sliding is impossible, because I just slide into the shots. But somehow you just go underneath them. How?

Say what you will about MM8 (personally, it's one of my favorites), but its final boss was definitely an improvement over this. These are mad skills. Good job.

@XellosDarkSlayer Дьяволы - это вообще отдельная история. Из них, по-моему, адекватен только тот, что в MM&Bass первым боссом идет. Ну и из ММ3 более-менее простой, т.к. глаз у него всегда на одной высоте (rYCJ-LbABaw).

@XellosDarkSlayer Капсулы с 4-й части появились, но настолько неадекватная битва только здесь.))) Еще в восьмой части бой сложный, но только для перфекта. С Мега Бастером сложнее - потому-что он, во-первых наносит только одно деление повреждений и только в полностью заряженном состоянии, а во-вторых не стреляет вверх, как ледяной шар, который босса тоже пробивает. В итоге Вайли можно достать не всегда и бой растягивается очень надолго: этот гад обожает появляться наверху.

Nice! I tip my hat to you. Not gonna lie, for all the hours of frustration, figuring the evasion pattern out and pulling it off is pretty satisfying. But even if I manage to dodge 80-90% of the time I still need a lot of energy tanks. Part of me says "what were they thinking?", another part says kudos to them for daring to do this in 1995. I have to say though, it doesn't do the BS some earlier games did where you couldn't damage a boss anymore if you ran out of ammo so you had to kill yourself. At least you can defeat him with the Buster here.

Just to inform you wasted soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much time using only the buster on Willy's first and last form. In the big robot the correct weapon is Thunder Volt, and there is a way for you to trick Willy. So he won't release the small mini skulls, you have to be very close where he lands. Then he will start jumping to the other side, sometimes he will release the mini skulls but not all the time. And on his spaceship you could have used Wild Coil instead of the buster, and the best way to try to hit him twice. Also there is a way tricky his energy orbs, but that only works if he is way up. You need to stay under him and start sliding to the other side. But if you can't avoid the orbs, try to get hit by only the electric or the frozen one. Those cause less damage since the fire one deals way more damage. But if you can hit twice will help more than hitting him only once, which will take way longer to finish.

I don't get why people are so mad because of Wily Capsule. It's hellish hard when you FIRST encounter it, but we all forget remembering pattern is the secret to defeat Megaman bosses.
