This game has so much replayability potential for a MMX fangame. It's insane how much content it has in it and it's not even close to being finished yet! We are all looking forward this game whenever it comes out, keep working hard man.
I'm seriously happy that Capcom isn't as insecure about their series as Nintendo is. I hope they've noticed that it's us fans who keep the franchise alive.
@@OriruBastard tbf capcom is starting to show the megaman franchise the love it deserves. Megaman 11 was very well recieved and X dive is actually very very fun to play.
@@OriruBastard Considering how they supported Street Fighter X Mega Man which was even released for free, I'm surprised that they hadn't decided to give it the same treatment by now.
It'll be interesting to see how Starfish evolves as a boss while he develops. He seems to be the kind of Maverick that can dangerously lean into "Armadillo-lite" territory, losing his uniqueness by a tad in the process. It makes me curious to see what kind of ideas will come when his next showcase comes, not to mention his eventual S-class fight.

@JKB Games Love the direction this fight is taking!! I would just make one suggestion with Zero's rising slash attack. I think a couple frames of invincibility at the end could help to prevent the player from taking damage while landing the move since it doesn't seem to apply knockback. The hitbox doesn't require perfect spacing but I've seen Zero's hurtbox collide with enemies rather often while using the move.

You could try adding a trail behind Force Starfish that lingers for a second and hurts the player whenever he bursts towards the player. This would add a bit of extra depth to the fight. Namely, having to dodge in a particular way sometimes and not simply jumping over him (where he used to be) since that would now damage you: having come into contact with the trail he left behind. So this way you'd need more awareness of where you're going to make him burst to, otherwise you'll trap yourself in a situation where you're forced to take damage. Since this concept for a boss appears to test your ability to predict and control his attacks rather than simply dodging them (his attacks are fast with a wide hit box) making this task a bit more challenging (technical) would make Burst Starfish a lot more rewarding to fight. As he is now he'll play a lot like Chill Penguin, where jumping over him after dashing off a wall is the most effective strategy. Always great to see some updates and give my own 2 cents, for what it's worth.
When I was a kid, i thought that when I finished school and studied in college/university this game would be finished. Now im finishing college/university and this game isn't event out. Do not missundertand, im not complaining. I know these things take time, and i'll make sure to play this game even if I get to play it when i get married and already have kids.

First time seeing an underwater maverick with a expanded boss room. I wonder what other abilities he'll have? Dispersing minion starfish perhaps? Real starfish are also known for their regenerative abilities, much like lizards (hence why Staryu/Starmie from pokemon have the ability Recover).
I've always wanted to see footage of this particular Maverick, and he does not disappoint. The way he uses X's Nova Strike is really cool. Hopefully he has some other attacks, but by far still, Starfish is my favorite Maverick from this game
Nicely done so far. That being his main movement is gonna keep people on their toes for whenever he inevitably throws crap at you. This is what maverick#6?
I love how powerful zero feels when he gets a good combo in. Very satisfying high risk high reward gameplay right here! JKB you continue to blow my mind! No matter how many years until this is playable I'm on board 1000%!

@@dinar8749 I feel like in higher difficulties, he should shoot off bolts of energy similar to the one X gets for his weapon. Now since he has another attack in form of a screen nuke, it's more than just a ram fest, so it can work.
So, Force Starfish has the {Impact} element. Or something like that, judging by the shockwaves produced when he hits the walls, correct? Perhaps he might borrow Hanumanchine's (from Mega Man Zero) attack patterns? Or perhaps, Armoured Armadillo's patterns?
Thank you for not giving up and for working on this still to this day! Though I'm curious how you've managed to find the motivation or willpower to keep working on this for literally over a decade!
I absolutely love zeros new sword mechanics. In the old ones, you get one slash and thats it untill the boss gets out of invulnerability. Now, you can slash continuously for more damage, thus increasing that risk vs reward feeling.
Fantastic work. You are really awesome man. Looks great. Now I am just wondering, where are the sound effects for Starfish´s attacks coming from? I don´t recall hearing them in X1 - X3.
From the main 8 bosses, there is only warp vulpex left.😳 Considering Force Starfish about to be done. There might a few final areas left to finish and that's it. JKB might say it's complete in a few more months. (This sentence is just speculation, but i hope it comes true)

Welcome back JKB. I'm happy to see that you are still working on the game, but man. It feels like I'm going to have gray hair by the time this masterpiece is finished.
I cant believe this is still in development and getting attention. This is what capcom should have continued doing. Legends is the only exception. I've played all the megaman zero games and zx all great because you dont fuck with megaman it's simple it's awesome it's fun.
Man, this is like 10yrs in the making and still hyped for it. Hopefully its out soon. I've beaten every megaman game there is and I'm about to put this one in the trophy case!
Nice gameplay. I'm curious to know what the story behind this is and how will it play out. I really think you should do like Nintendo did with Breath of the wild and spread out your vast features into multiple games and tie them together.

You know how flame mammoth can make X trip when he lands after his jump? What if Force Star had this effect when he hits the ground or wall? N also maybe a bit more of a damaging wave that shoots through both sides of his impact to give that ramming attack a bit more character and attack range.
so assuming this is still a wip I noticed outright his pattern is obviously predictable I feel like he should be able to launch concussion orbs or something. Maybe his desperation move can be him separating from the star portion and just launch it around.
