unreal. I remember playing this game back in the day I could get past the dog and the guy but that final huge machine i always died at, never beat the game.
i love this game, what a great final boss...or three, i remember when i was a kid I thought it was over after the second guy...then the whole background lights up, took me all day to beat.
Playing this as a kid, a safety tactic id always use was to stay up in the corners using wall jumping to let me dodge a lot of attacks. Watching Sigma throw this in my face as he wall jumps after me: TERROR

you can do the Haduken(or however its spelled) right after the dog jumps off the wall. Its an instant kill. Same goes with Sigma in his first form, but you gotta do it quick for him.
Ah, the ole Megaman X. I haven't played this for a long while, but I remembered that Sigma was very hard here. He beat me before but that never happened ever again... Good times.
I remember the first time I was doing a perfect run of this game and I didn't get hit once until the beginning of Sigma's 3rd form when the platform touched me. I was so pissed. I feel your pain dude.
from 1:00 onward. that's how I fought sigma when I was a kid because I was afraid of him so I just climb the wall and shoot a charged buster shot at him. but yeah. it works.

Hadoken Fireball Capsule To find the hidden capsule to gain the Hadoken Fireball for X you have to get all Heart Tanks, Sub Tanks, Armor Parts (the arm part can be either the one from Dr. Light or the one you get from Zero in Sigma Palace 3) and beat every boss to gain there weapon. Go to Armored Armadillo's Stage and get through the whole stage without taking any damage then at the end dash off the flying platform and land above the entrance to the boss and the capsule will be there.
In the Gameboy version of this, the head shoots this undodgable move where the lightning balls shoot lightning upward after they hit the ground, and since they're so close you cant dodge it, it's really annoying.
Now I feel bad. I have the Game Cube's Megeman X collection (1-6+racer) and I have every secret in every game, but not a single last boss defeated. Now I'm tempted to copy you're playing for the first guy. Lmfao.
this move kills anything in one hit including sigma and his dog. ive never tried the move on sigma number 2. if you dont find his capsule then i think ur missing soemthing or just repeat it a few times
its also available on PS2 and megaman X7 isnt on there its megaman x through x6 and megaman battle and chase (a racing game never before released in the US)
I think Sigma is the hardest boss on megaman X and megaman games, it got 3 stages and their attacks gives a lot of damage, also its very hard to dodge their attacks. Its close to impossible to kill him without full armor, or at least without the legs and body armor to reduce damage.

The only thing using the XBuster only would do is make the first 2 fights longer and more boring, not more challenging. It's not like the dog or Sigma are hard...
