Just so you know, there was an after-credits scene (or maybe mid-credits). Spoilers if you want to watch that scene: Minion is doing the laundry, and when he opens the washer, Bernard is in it. Earlier in the movie, Megamind had dehydrated Bernard, but apparently the cube was still in his pocket, so when it was washed he rehydrated. Minion knocked him out then, and that's the end of the scene.
The reason MetroMan didn't come back is because he really did believe Megamind could win. He wanted Megamind to be seen as the hero he was always meant to be.
@SofaandChill just goes to show how good a lot of the Dreamworks stuff is. Excluding a select few, they are all extremely high Quality - Amongst the best of Pixar and even Disney
I love this movie so much and I've just found your reaction to it, thank you ♥️ I feel like I have to share my favourite detail in it. When Metro Man talks at the opening, you can tell he's putting on a show, like a rockstar at a concert or something, but in this one moment at 8:09 he sounds and looks genuine, in the moment he says "I often ask myself: who would I be without you". Such brilliant foreshadowing! And then a man in the crowd yells he loves him and the cocky mask is back on. Oh well. Edit: and at 30:00, when he says "I can explain!", the poster he made earlier says "No, you can't" 👏🏻 brilliant!
I feel like this was such an underrated movie. I love seeing reactors to this. Although it would be out of character for him to do so, I would have loved to see Metroman apologize to Megamind for making him into a villain, and ensuring he stayed a villain for all those years. BTW, the Marlen Brando thing was a reference to the original Superman movie, Brando played Superman's father on Krypton.
Excellent reaction, Kev. "Megamind: The Button of Doom" is a short 16 minute episode that is a sequel to the movie. It is JUST as awesome. So I'd definitely recommend it. ^^
I love some of the subtle hints to his big loss to Titan, just before and during, their fight. When he is standing in front of the tv, while Titan is playing a game, you see the screen flash to "Game Over" same as the t-shirt he wears. Signifying that he will lose to him. Also, when he is in the giant robot and hiding against the building, the billboard behind shows a giant hammer crushing something red right where his head is, making it look like he is being splattered.
Despicable Me came out a few months before this movie, and unfortunately that led to most people dismissing this as a copycat. So it never got the love it deserved. But now, a decade+ later, people are going back and watching this movie and are appreciating it for what it is. It's now achieved a cult classic status, and I'm quite happy that it has. This is a really well done movie. All the twists and turns in the plot are very well set up. But because this movie zags where superhero stories usually zig, it all ends up surprising us.
From what I understand the sequel to megamind is not going to be a movie but a series focusing on megamind fumbling through his new life as a superhero with minion as his sidekick. Should be fun.
It would have made sense for Metroman to come back to fight Tighten had he been the protagonist. But the film is not really about Metroman. It's about a guy with superpowers who had never been given a chance to prove himself that he deserves what everybody deserves: love.
I Love this Movie So Much that it Might Be My Favorite Film,Love the the Cast, the Characters, the Villain, the Music, the Animation, the Story, the Jokes, the Emotional Moments, and the Great Message about You Choosing who you want to be and Not what Others Make Us.
If you want more Dreamworks animations, please consider watching‘Rise of the Guardians’ “Ohhh. He’s going to _create_ a villain- sorry; create a hero.” …no, actually, you had it right the first time. “He seems like an alright guy” …um- yeah… about that….

Great reaction !!! I don't know if you've seen The Gentleman a movie from 2019 directed by the great Guy Ritchie anyway if you haven't seen it a first time reaction to it will be greatly appreciated 👍
@kevinmorel2485 yes, when "metroman" grabbed him, he immediately froze up and said "not in the face" he knows he would feel those punches, unlike megamind's attacks
Hey Kevin. You asked why Megamind said the specific number six. I think one reason is that number is considered by a number of people as sometimes connected/associated with the Devil, and evil just in general.
