MEGARAPTORS are a mysterious group of theropods. Their fossil record is at the moment quite limited, and their evolutive origin is still not completely certain; although at the moment they are considered Coleurosaurs, related to Tyrannosauroids.
Unlike most theropods, Megaraptors feature well-developed forelimbs, with large claws that might have been their primary weapon. Their fossils suggest they were extremely agile, and specimens like Murusraptor seem to have had a large brain for a theropod.

Megaraptors are one of my favorite theropod groups, simply because of how different they are from other theropod lineages. While most other large theropods evolved stronger heads and weaker hands for killing, Megaraptors went the exact opposite route, which makes them pretty unique. They really deserve more attention in media then they get. Imagine a dinosaur horror movie where the main threat is a Megaraptor named Reaper. That would be awesome.

And a Maip Named Marge. I googled the size of Maip (The Lords Of all megaraptorans) and siats at the same time. Both, Siats (The Large Beast Allosauroid) And Maip Were THE SAME Height. Which proves that megaraptorans CAN, infact. Reach the size of a SuperPredator.

Another dinosaur group is done. Megaraptorans are very unique among the theropods, so I'm glad they got some representation (also I had no idea Maip was so big). I'd love to see other underrepresented dino groups, like oviraptorosaurs, alvarezsaurs, therizinosaurs, and compsognathids. Edit: how'd this get so many likes?

Murusraptor is my favorite because of the highly stylised and inaccurate design for my book i made for it last year, it became one of the three mascots of that book series that way.

Me encanto el vídeo, en especial el tono del color de fondo. Parecerán pocos, pero esta familia habría sido mas numerosa, pues hay supuestos especímenes aun no bautizados que habitaron en otras partes como Brasil y Nueva Zelanda ( donde se cree que hubo una clase de megaraptorido muy grande, pero solo conocido por un hueso del dedo ). Si quisiera tener un ejercito de dinosaurios armados, los megaraptoridos serian una buena elección. Saludos, colega.

Los megaraptores son de los dinosaurios menos reconocidos en los medios ahora que lo pienso, las únicas menciones a ellos que puedo recordar son una mención muy corta del mega raptor en un documental todo chafa de dinosaurios en el que para colmo lo mencionan básicamente como un velociraptor gigante y la otra mención que recuerdo es en el capitulo 4 de caminando con dinosaurios donde se refieren al australovenator como "allosaurio polar".
