RU-vid offers on 2x speed. I downloaded the video and ran the video in a local player which gave me 4x. Even then it was boring to watch. I tried 8 and 12x as well to no avail.

Awesome race Louise, shame the e-biker interrupted the best megavalanche fight with pinky. Even better fight than Bron vs Borges IMO. Hope the Mega is back in 2021!

@@doubleT84 No, the people in the back of the field are simply not good enough to cope with the conditions... Same as the women. Just watch a race where someone good starts in the back.. Only reason good people will fall there is something happens directly in front of them. The video of the person you posted is from someone who did this race for the first time and probably never trained for the conditions.. @oooBLATlooo The women didn’t start their run after the first men’s race, they started after the men’s ebikes. Those are 10 to 20kg heavier than regular bikes and would have churned up the snow something shocking. If you watched a full men’s race you’d see even the best riders got bogged down on the patches of soft snow lower down on the course.
This was one of the first Megavalanche videos I ever watched. Still one of my favorites. Gutsy ride and great batlle with the gal in pink. G'luck with your Downhill career
It's a shame they don't get the same packed and prepared surface as the men. That'd be a totally different situation, they could ride the more solid ice track and people wouldn't make fun of them.
Hats off to Louise Ferguson for a superb descent after the early falls on the slushy snow high up. It takes courage, skill, stamina and strength to get down Alpe d'Huez in one piece. Nice to see the cameraderie between the riders.
Watch the girls and you realize, what lazy ass couch potatoes most of those nasty "critiques" here in the comment section are, down in their mommy's basement. (I'm not referring to you, 3V!)

I’m very impressed. They may have had an issue with the snow at the very beginning but when they got past that, they were fantastic. I wouldn’t do that in a million years.
A precedent example of how to behave politely towards competitors and spectators. The main thing is to have fun and respect others. Fantastic race I enjoy watching.
This is super awesome. I'd love to try this race out for sure... nothing more fun than enduring something so physically difficult and actually making it to the finish.
The guy with the backpack? Not much of a gentleman was he? I think she would have got past the other girl if he hadn't held her up. Also the girl who fell right in front of her should have let her past. Obviously some riders are more polite than others.
Fantastic run Louise, you were flying over those rocky drops. This was probably the only Megavalanche video I have seen without massive profanity spewed, however it probably would have been excused for that e-biker that wouldn't let you by. The guy starts 15 minutes before you and his ego won't let you pass. Most of the kids commenting here would cry if they actually experienced the steepness of that glacier. That Alpe d'Huez climb is a leg breaker.. those bikes that passed you were e-bikes. Pat yourself on the back that was an amazing run.
i was in it! that year and it doesnt come over on camera but that is SOOOO STEEP THEY SHOULD ALL BE PROUD VERY BRAVE GIRS AND BY THE THE WINNER BEAT MY TIME IN THE AMATEURS AND I WAS OFF LIKE FOOOK THE WHOLE TIME HAHAA LETS HOPE WE MANAGE A RACE THIS YEAR SEE YOU THERE!!! ALWAYS

This video is a proof why woman live longer than man. It's a great run, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be able to do it myself. Yet if you watch man riding this you see their attitude is "if I die, I die". Woman have more attitude of one thing I will not do is die. Thanks for upload, it was a pleasure to watch.
There’s no way I could continue this race. I’d be laughing to tears😂😂😂!!! It’s a lot of fun riding in the snow. I haven’t done it in a while, and forgot how much fun it can be!!! Go Ladies!!!
Wow!! So exhilarating watching this!! Seen lots of the mountain alps bike races and thought it was so tough you’d never get women to do it! And now they have!! So they are as tough as the men!! And so polite letting each other pass!! I couldnt! Thanks Louise.
I'm not even racing, but my hand was shaking at the opening sequence. Can only imagine the adrenaline rush the riders must have, so close before the start of the race.

The two difference between the men's and women's race is the bad condition of the first snowy section, compared to the virgin track beaten by the Snowcat. Second, men are crazy and with many more broken bones!
The speed is also different. I doubt that even if the state of the snow will be the same, the speed will be, too. Men would go crazy the same, no matter the conditions.
@@evgeniydeus8137 Yeah, the difference in speed is due to the higher competitiveness in the mens race. There are several boys racing just as fast as the girls here but they obviously fall behind in the race.
at around 52min..i was expecting. "GET THE FUCK OUTTA MY WAY !!!!" Great race, great downhill, and should impart a lot more respect to the guys out there that think it's easy.....

wow, the difference to the mens version is huge. what i definitely like is that they are looking more out for others. ins the mens race it's more like eating or got eaten.
