Start with the cleaner wax, it cleans and polishes the surface, then put down the Gold wax for the finish coat... Bam ! Car is done. Love this product

You can't compare the two. The cleaner wax is just that, a two in one. Basically it's Fine Cut Cleaner with was infused. The Gold Wax is just that, wax with no abrasive to clean the paint. Yes I've used Meguiars for over 20 years. I use the cleaner wax every 6 months while I use the Gold Wax monthly...

I wax my car nearly every week and in the past year and a half I have used MANY different waxes. Some buff off easier than others. All the waxes I have used do a good job. Each person has their favorites. At a hardware store I found some Johnson's Kit, whipped carnauba wax. Same as they had in the 1960's except clearcoat safe. I found this one buffed very easy and had a brilliant shine. I haven't seen this wax in the main stream stores though.

They look about same but i would say gold class lasts longer

Do i have to clay the vehicle before using the cleaner wax ? Im a beginner so not familiar or can i just wash the vehicle very good then wax it ?

It doesn't help that the car is white tho lol but I think gold class has a deeper gloss and shine?

i'd be interested in a month's passing follow up result. identical treatment regarding using the two different waxes on either side. ergo: left with gold, right with red Maguire's with time frame used being one month. to see some real world/day to day driving results that would impact on the products' results...priceless!. A time proven result with the same water test would be immensely helpful . 1: no car wash with water wash down. 2: then a post car wash, using Maguire's car wash product (that supposedly doesn't remove wax). then repeat same water hose example. It seems like with the gold side's water runs off being faster, leaving less beading/water marks on the hood. but the red side beading faster with less run off which would theoretically leave beads, but...treatment would last longer. A time proven, real world update/personal test/result would be greatly appreciate :-) thank you for posting!!! I appreciate the hard work and time that went into this posting and review thus far.

About the same..but in a white car is hard to tell.

The difference is is the one is a cleaner wax. It’s a two in one ! Like the one person said, used to clean a wax first, and put a coat of the other wax on top of it

I used creaner waxs it lasted 3.month on my car in nyc traffic
