Watching this cuz I'm looking at 2 bottle of prep and 2 bottles of ceramic wax in Auto Zone in my city here in Mexico. The wax, it passed my test on auto forums... and the pre-wax prep, I want to see it in action here on your video. It's March 31st 2024, and the price has gone up considerably. The prep is $539 pesos ($35 USD) and the was is $799 pesos ($50 USD). Roughly $85 for one bottle of each. Today is buy one get one half off, so... for about $130 USD, I can buy 4 bottles. Considering it strongly cuz the water (city or country) over here is so mineralized that calcium buildup and water spots can even obscure your paint, windows and mirrors with a yucky white calcium film. Makes a vehicle look horrible after only one wash. I really only need to get rid of the calcium. Maybe get rid of some slight scratching. I've got 7 vehicles and a motorcycle. Going to start with my Tahoe and my Ford conversion van. Will let you know how it works. Maybe will do a video. Thank you for taking the time to do this video. It helped me mske up my mind. Need this stuff, I guess. So... why not. OK. I'm buying it.

Great video Brian! I like the ease of use of this product and gives a decent base layer for their ceramic waxes or m27. Definitely doesn’t have much correction power...but cleans the paint pretty good that’s the main reason I use it. Meguiars themselves compare it more to a glaze than a correction fluid. As a primer, I will stay with Dr. Beasley’s NSP for pre-polish and then applying my ceramic layer

I had the same experience as you. I was a bit disappointed in the correction ability of this primer/hybrid/sio2 polish, but definitely does well with high speed passes and a cutting pad. Meguiars ultimate polish imo is a better correction polish. This product definitely leaves behind a surface that beads water so it definitely is a decent sio2 primer product.

I wanted some guidance. What is the correct process to clean and apply below products to the car. Pls correct me if I’m wrong. First step I would clean the car Second step I would use Meguiar's G200200EU Hybrid Ceramic Synthetic Clay Kit including Hybrid Ceramic Detailer 532ml, or Meguiars G191700EU Smooth Surface Clay Kit. Which one would one recommend to use. Third step I would use the Meguiar's G220416EU Hybrid Ceramic Pre-Wax Prep. How long should I wait before the second and third step or can I apply the hybrid ceramic pre wax prep straight after claying the car. Fourth step would be to use Meguiar's G200416EU Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Car Wax. Can I apply the hybrid ceramic liquid wax straight after I have finished applying the hybrid ceramic pre wax prep. If not then how long should I wait. Just a note: I’m new to this and want to detail my own car. Thanks

Three primers I’ve used and listed in best experience order: -CarPro Essence -TACsystem Total One Essential -Dr Beasley’s NSP line, Z1, 45, 95, 150. All good at what they do, with NSP being a bit more difficult to work with. Less is more with their product.

I think CarPro Essence is the best you can go for. Pad dependability is always a factor.

Brain can you use the extreme solution polish that you used on ceramic coating. I have so small scratches on mine and they are driving me up a wall.

I had the same results as far as correction ability (or lack thereof) goes. I think it's a great consumer product that people can pickup at the store looking to make a visual improvement by hand with the hybrid ceramic product line. For professionals, like you said, there is better stuff out there.

question. i know this is an older video. it mentions Meguiars ceramic coating can be applied over this. i know the hybrid wax can go right on top. but can the M888 go down without surface prep and without removing the polishing oils?

It's not a correction polish, it's mainly for after you've done a correction with other products, it's meant for pre wax or post ceramic preps the surface, it's not a one step or correction polish

I'm not surprised there wasn't any correction with the Meguires. I figured it was more like a liquid clay bar. Just a pre cleaner so your not putting your coating over contaminants.

Good review. Thank you. Not very impressive. I'm not a pro, but I would not buy that. I've been dabbling in different products that leave Meguiars stuff in the dust. They do have name brand, and the packaging is fancy, but alot of their products disappoint. Sorry Meguiars.

In my mind I don’t really trust any product on a surface before applying a coating. It’s like having a possible weak link on a strong chain. It adds another variable to something I trust & know works. Does that make sense?

Its a good product. Try using it with a polishing pad. You’ll get better results from a more aggressive pad.

Serious question, does it get to the point that all these products do the same or do they actually provide different results? Again, I'm being totally serious. Cause, I feel like after using Meguiars Quick Detail and the Ultimate Quick detail do the same thing for example. Obviously the Ceramic Quick Detail is different. I'm just curious, I could be wrong.

"Hello good friend" my apologies for being off subject here. but i would like to know what fabric protector (against staining) you would recommend, and could i purchase it from the apex surface protection store?

I asked meguiars few weeks ago if this new ceramic prep had any protection in it they said no to me. Because I considered using it as a all in one. They told me to use the 3 in 1 wax

As a all in one it is a failure. Maybe as a finishing polish in a two step application it might work. Looks like something similar to Sonax Fin.

I'll stick with using what I already have which is Angel Wax Perfect Polish for a quick panel cleanse, TAC Moonlight as a sort of ultra-light ceramic base layer then Meg's HCW as an LSP, usually applied using your off label method but I'll also apply quickly with a second wash mitt onto a wet car and rinse, if I'm being lazy. I can't see what this new product would bring to the table for me really. I like the thought of a light correction and primer in one product but it appears this ain't it.

Your volume needs to be better, I'd expect more from a channel with 115k subs. That being said, I thank you for the review, its enough for me to return the products I bought today.

So this seems like basically their Hybrid Ceramic version of their 3 in 1 Wax. Definitely a pass. Even the Mother’s Primer Polish has more cut and it’s also available locally and priced similarly. Though it dusts like a mother if you work it at correction speed by machine.

TW hybrid polish, better choice. Imo.

I swirled up a small section on my new car trying to remove a small stuck on piece of dirt 😔 It was really stuck on! I don't know if it was the micro cloth or clay bar. The dirt finally got off but now theres swirls. Any tips and products I could use?

Great Video Brian. Unfortunately Mcguire's products used to be good. But their new products into Ceramic. Just comes up short? Turdlewax used to be good. But now there just way Better.

Another good video brian. I figure that's geared more towards the guy who gets up on a Saturday morning and wants to do his car . Heads to Walmart. Does his car and thinks it looks great unlike the keen eye of professionals.

I use Malco Amplifier as an all-in-one for quick jobs. It does the same thing as this Meguiar's stuff.

I just don't see why you would use this before the actual wax.

Directions say to "wipe off immediately" 😮
