You convinced me not to spend the extra money on a headlight restoration kit. Nice work! A couple dollars on sandpaper or sanding blocks that can be reused. And the clear coat that can be used several times for a few years.
If you prepped the light better, you would have gotten a much, much much better result... If you sanded it correctly, the light would look almost new.. starting with 500-600 grit wet/dry sandpaper.. if it was really bad, start at 400 grit.. Then work up to 600 or 800 then finish with 1500-3000 grit finishing disc.. Then compound and polish the lens before you put the spray coating.. It appears you missed quite a few steps there my friend.. I promise that if you did what I'm saying, you'll get great results.. When you do sand, make sure you sand everything evenly and then move on to the next disc or sandpaper.. You can start over again, it's no big deal.. it's worth the effort
I respect the hustle, but thats not how you properly use that headlight coating. I use that coatinf for every headlight restoration job I do and i get crystal clear results. My methos is p500 grit drill dry sanding, p800 grit drill dry sanding, p1500 trizact wet drill sanding, p3000 wet drill sanding, polish till clear, then spray the coating only doing 1 thick coat. To get the best results, you need to remove all the oxidation, and only spray it when it is already clear. I mean, do whatever you want with your headlights, but to anyone looking to get them crystal clear, this isnt the way
I can't believe what I've just watched are you serious?? There's little difference between start and finish,😂 I've seen many streams useing a short cuts on headlights restoration but this takes the biscuits, Pure and simple this method is just 100% laziness end of?? What a waste of Maguires Clearcoat!!!😢🤔🤮
Great product if you can find it in our third World County Called United kingdom, You can find it either Amazon or EBay?? Where the prices differ?? To buy it direct from the USA the postage charge is almost the same cost as the product😣🤔😢👍🇬🇧
A Slower, Steadier,…Straight Across Motion, Overlapping by 1/2 on Each Subsequent Sweep Would Yield MUCH BETTER RESULTS,….Like the Directions Say to do !!🤓 You Must watch Videos on Painting & Coating Things with a Spray Product 👍
Man, I am a woman and kind of lazy with these things but I can do a better job than this, with just 5 more minutes of sanding, finer grit paper and polishing compound it would have turned out like new 😅
