Fun fact: every other hetalia character song was done inside a regular recording room, but for Prussia's song, they got the voice actor to sing in an empty stage with a hand hello microphone. The voice actor said that he was dancing around the empty studio doing poses and all that to emulate singing like a rock star. If that doesn't fit Prussia's character to a T, I don't know what will.
Prussia is that guy in all the movies who is popular, looks happy all the time, has that annoying side.. When really, deep down, everyone knows he's depressed, lonely, and just wants a hug.
+Ciel Phantomhive You could say the same for America. Everyone calls him an idiot & fat. I feel like Alfred acts like it doesn't hurt him at all & laughs it out but in truth he's hurt.
Jennifer Liu Everyone, especially England and Japan (his two closest friends) call him fat, and different variations of the same word. Pretty much everyone calls him an idiot and obnoxious, though.
+Ciel Phantomhive It's sad, considering how America helped everyone out during the WW's, yet receives so much hate (Hetalia and real-life wise). I mean, LOOK AT THE INTERNET'S COMMENT SECTION. "Fat Americans." "Ignorant Americans." "Americans have diabetes."
Anyone else ever randomly come back to this in 2022? Dang, the nostalgia of first finding this when I was in middle school... Is it bad that I'm now 22 and still remember all of the Japanese lyrics? XD
They should call it Hetalia: The Awesome Adventures of Prussia. It would be a series of his life and his today's life with his relatives (Hessen,Hamburg,Berlin etc).
People who see Prussia as cocky outside but depressed inside are actually true Hetalia fans. Hetalia isn't just a bright and beautiful world with happy characters. It also represents our blood spilt on white canvases with different colors.
why do they have to do this to us? make the brightest and happiest show reveal a super depressing side, I mean seriously, are they trying to make my personality bipolar watching this? But of course I can't sit around and be a baby over a show about stereotypes...... ......oh god, I'm probably going to get so much hate for that last statement! XD
Am i the only one crying while reading the lyrics? ;-; *The Reason why Prussia always laughs and do some fun things, and calling himself awesome, because he knows that he isn't a country anymore..And he's one and only fear is being "Forgotten"*
I thought I was the only one ;-; I didn't watch season 5 and 6 yet but I do know that Prussia isn't a country anymore, somewhere there and I always thought that he's always calling himself awesome to not be forgotten and it makes me sad and omg I was crying yoo
+тнє ℓιттℓє ρєтяα яαℓ Thanks to hetalia, I don't think Prussia will ever be a forgotten country. Honestly, I think as long as we remember Prussia, he's living. I have this silver key that I keep on a red ribbon. Idk why, but it reminds me of Prussia so I wear it every day.
+Liz Howard Guys, have you realized that Germany's personality would probably be different if he were raised by someone other than Prussia? Prussia tries most of the time to hide his feelings, and Germany has a hard time with expressing his feelings, even if he wants to. Prussia tries to act macho, and tough, and Germany doesn't know how to be anything else. So deep in there, Germany must think he's awesome.
When I read the comments on how depressing this is.... The only thing coming to my mind is how wistful and nostalgic this song must have been to Prussia. And the last lines mean; "Please watch over me, Father Fritz." The days of conquering, the days of being a supreme nation, the days of being one of the most powerful countries. That's what he's remembering, I feel, when he is singing this. Well. Except for the panda part.
This is the beautiful thing about Hetalia. The show itself is so happy and silly but if you know a bit about History you know about all the shit these characters had to go through. Prussia is a perfect example of that.
The lyrics really are sad tho, like, especially "Beobachten Sie es bitte, Fritz Vater" because it basically "Please watch over us, Father Fritz" and I cried a little when I figured that out.
This dude's best buddy is a bird, he writes in a diary every day, and he also says "Being alone is so much fun!!" not to mention he always says he's awesome Ladies and gentlemen, we have a Grade A+ depressed fella with self-image issues, who covers it with being loud and acting prideful every moment I wanna give this jerk a hug
now i just imagine prussia dressed in all black with an electric guitar and a reluctant germany and austria (germany on drums and austria on keyboard) in the back and theyre performing live and prussia is screaming the song into a microphone with all the fangirls fangirling... Gilbert and the Beerheads.
I’m not even in the Hetalia fandom anymore but I unironically really like all the music released for the show. These character songs were just really catchy
The music is what got me into the show lmao. I was pulling an all nighter and while looking for music, I stumbled across White Flame and ended up becoming so invested in the song I spent the entire night listening to all the other Hetalia songs I could find. A few weeks later I decided to watch the anime and I’ve been trapped in the fandom ever since
For some reason... this gave me the feels ;-; something about Prussia not being a country anymore, but still thinking he's awesome or whatever, AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHY, but this song made me want to cry...
Ah, very true. He was just too awesome to be by himself anymore. And I'm pretty sure Germany took over Prussia, just making it another part of Germany. (Germany, you jerk, you killed my dear little gilbert)
Nicole Koleck Prussia was taken over by France, Austria, and I belive HRE, too. So yea Germany possibly did have a part in destroying the country, but still.. BTWS Prussia became East Germany during WW2 and idk what after that
I'm at work and out of a sudden I remembered this song and I had to come and listen to it in my lunch break. It's been more than 5 years since I've even though about Hetalia so I don't know why I suddenly remembered this.
WHo is STILL LISTENING IN 2020 ?! ✋ EDIT - HOLY SHIT WE GOT A NEW SEASON edit - I wonder when we got a new season, and new fans...will anyone remember the dark periods when the fandom is almost entirely dead, when comments like mine were the only comments videos have ? George Devailer's account got deleted, Hetaloid and Hetaoni are rarely mentioned now, will anyone remember them?
I think I now know why Prussia is the only one to remember Canada. He is afraid of everyone forgetting him so he puts himself out there and he would never want anyone to forget Canada either and he knows what it feels like so he remembered Canada. :3
The person who uploaded this video said this in the description: "You people are strange. How does this get so popular?" Well, this gets popular because of how fabulous it is- or should I say, how AWESOME it is and plus, this song is awesome, and therefore deserves all it's awesome views!!! >w
This man is my single reason why I migrated to Germany. I would like the me from high school in 2010 to know that she made it to her dream country and that she shouldn't give up; the awesome Prussia will be proud of her in the future.
"That Panda Looks Suspicious" This line has double meaning: For one, it refers to the Hetalia Fantasia scene where China sells Prussia a panda, claiming it will help cheer him up. But there is another, darker, meaning. Recall that Russia once dressed up as a panda to stalk China. This line may also refer to the Warsaw Pact, with Russia in a panda suit symbolizing how Russia lulled East European nations to join the Warsaw Pact. If the second interpretation is correct, then this song may have been recorded mere moments before the final dissolution of Prussia after the Second World War, having been absorbed by Russia (to be fair to Russia, Stalin actually was ok with Prussia remaining an independent nation, but things got out of hand apparently). As of today, the nations that retain the parts of Prussia's former lands are Germany, Russia, Poland, Denmark, Lithuania, Czechia, Belgium, and Switzerland
how to be awesome 1. make any hetalia character song your ringtone(mostly this one) 2. at graduation turn it up before everybody throws their hats 3.get a mic and turn it on near the phone 4. everybody throws the hats and you play the ringtone at the mic to make it loud 5. .............................TURN UP!!!!!!
Do you like the Prussian state smashed, Prussia will rise up from the rubble. One even wanted us to steal Prussia, but Prussia lives too deeply into the souls! Prussia is neither tribe nor race, Prussia is attitude and never mass. Prussia is duty according to Immanuel Kant, Prussia is loyalty to the people and the fatherland.
Man. Protestant hero... Hetalia: makes you religion towards nonexistent religions and patriotic towards dissolved countries. also, I think anyone in this fandom would occpy a part of East Germany and declare their bit of land the Principality of Prussia.
“That’s right, it’s not because I’m weak. It’s because I’m too strong.” You know, that sounds really similar to that quote about crying: “When you cry, it doesn’t mean you’re weak; it means you’ve been strong for too long”
I was like 10 when I got into hetalia, and I had such a phase for like two years. Now when I'm studying japanese, every time I come across word hitori this song just pops into my head, and suprisingly I remember all the lyrics
That line "It's not because I'm weak, it's because I'm too strong" kinda broke my heart because it's so true. Eveyone feared Prussia for it's power and strength. First the nazi goverment ruled by Hitler. Prussia was against the nazi regime and that's why they disposed a law to equalize the power and influence one german country should have, there for decreasing Prussias power a lot. And after the World War II the allied forced feared that if they let Prussia stay it could turn back to it's older self, becoming powerful again and disposed the Control Council Law No. 46, with the first article being "The Prussian State together with its central government and all its agencies are abolished." They kinda... executed Prussia and after that it completly ceased to exist and only lives on in the memory of it's descendants.
F R I C C this song hit me right in the feels. I mean, he's in such denial about his depression and the fate that he's going to eventually meet. The part when he says "being alone is so fun" after asking for an email address made me tear up a little. It implies that nobody wanted to give him their email. O M G N O W I ' M C R Y I N G .
* in the very beginning * It has a fairytale-like structure. Interesting, I like it! * after the beat kicks in * OMFT THIS IS EVEN BETTER INSTANT LIKE GOOD JOB PRUSSIA!
*tears up* I wish I didn't speak German! Norwegian and English, those are the only languages I HAVE to know! But no, I learnt German! "Beobachten Sie es bitte, Fritz Väter" "Please watch over them, Father Fritz"
Der “deutsche“ Teil war einfach.. schrecklich. um es nett auszudrücken. xD sonst hab ich echt nichts gegen deutsch aber hierbei hab ich's echt verflucht Deutsche zu sein und es zu verstehen..
Shhh Prussia gets lots of people on his side... In wars at least... Literally everyone in Europe on his side vs. France. They lost. It's fine, they will win after Napoleon goes into Russia with 600,000 soldiers and leaves with 40,000
This is recommended to me all of a sudden and it just brought me back to 2012. I can still get down with this song 😩 as an older hetalia fan, I can say I actually am really excited for the new season.
I have been in it since octobre 2021(one year and a month ago),and figured the songs out 2 weeks ago,so hey, your not the only one Who feels sad they arent in it for THAT LONG.
I love you Hetalia. I love you like how I would love an old crush of mine. You were the only true thing in my teens. My friends, they went. But you, you have an unique place in my heart that no other thing can replace. I will forever love you as I loved you from the first day, in my aunt’s house, the first episode that I watched in my crappy old phone. How I enjoyed every second, how I felt happiness in fics, songs. I will forever cherish you.
Prussia has always been my favorite character, his character songs, his personality, his milkshake....anyway, this song will always be iconic for the fandom, it's kinda...nostalgic? I've been in this fandom for such a long time, I hope it soon gets a revival. (♡ w ♡)
I had this ritual of listening to mein gott before my math finals in middle school lmao so I came back for what is probably going to be the last math paper I take for nostalgia reasons
@@ya-qj4ze oh the paper was the worst we had in a couple years, i passed though lmao. I will be continuing math in college so i'll be here next sem lol
tawney starr Prussia is awesome and none can deny... now bow down and greet your new ruler, King Gilbert Me: *starts chanting* all hail King Gilbert, all hail King Gilbert...
I haven't watched Hetalia for around 4 or 5 years, having gone off it for the longest time. Out of nostalgic curiosity I came back to it to listen to some of the character songs and stuff, and may I just say? For a franchise that no longer interests me at all, there is some SERIOUSLY good music for it. Particularly this and 'Winter'. I can't ever bring myself to hate Hetalia since I used to love it so much during a much simpler time, but I don't think I'll ever enjoy the show again which is a shame.
