You gotta love when a singer can cross his legs , throw an arm over the back of the chair and lean back rocking in it while singing and still sounding as good as he did way back in the day.
I love how Mel ad-libs and inserts the names of Willie Nelson and Porter Wagoner into the performance--the two guys sitting there with the best hair. It totally livened up the performance.
Me seeing these guys with old fashioned clothes and long hair men brings back childhood memories. 1979 was pure perfection for everything. One of my favorite memories growing up was my older brothers( who have both passed away) singing this song to mom to get her tickled so they would get out of trouble.

I remember hearing that as a kid at the local bar. It was a dive that later got condemned. Those were the days when parents could take their kid in a bar and not be considered unfit. I remember a table arcade game that I used to play in that place.
