That was a good walk through showing the changes that's occurred over the last few years. The services tunnel looked skanky. A mate of mine was still working there in January 1994. He knew the place was shutting down quite soon and I think some workers had already been laid off by then. Originally the Bradmill site and container parks beside it along Francis St heading West to the freight rail line were all to be demolished making way for a large shopping complex with Woolworths as its main tenant, and a new school was also to be built there. But since those plans came out, the site was sold - by the same bloke that owned the Newport Flour Mill - to a Chinese investor whose been stuck with it since other investors pulled their money out of the development deal.
