I was thinking the end pose of DK's up-B could also work- he also flexes at the end of its ground version- the camera zoom might be able to cut it the same way as the melee intro.

I have to say, the recreation is not too bad. Some parts are pretty well done and other parts were done to the best of your ability due to the limitations of the editing and range of moves the characters have. I wasn’t expecting the giant Jigglypuff, but that made me chuckle, so I liked it. It’s nice to see stuff like this and I appreciate the effort you put into making the video. I’ll be sure to give it a “yeah” when I get around to it.

This is awesome. The creator literally got everything right. The HAL Dog, the Black Hole Teleportation by Ness, the flash right before Shiek's scene, Kirby riding the warp star item, it was all carefully thought out and the effort shows.

I think Ridley's "downsize" is fine, it's just his actual appearance (and moveset, and "voice") that I don't like. Incineroar, K. Rool, and Ridley are the three newcomers I was most excited about and all three of them are pretty underwhelming (do ya think we have enough body slam down-smashes?).

Robert Thunder Blaster 1. None of that has anything to do with games improving 2. **breathes in** Sakurai didn’t make the games sakurai and A TEAM OF GAME DEVELOPERS did, what does “give it the biggest Nintendo treatment” even mean, adding fan service stuff/characters happens all the time (shovel knight in yooka laylee, special costumes in skullgirls and more), every good game developer feels pain when trying to get a game done on time. I like smash, Kirby and kid Icarus uprising. Sakurai makes good stuff but a lot of other games developers also do. Sakurai isn’t special.

Wow, in some parts (specially towards the end, basically everything after the Sheik and Zelda moment) i felt like i was watching the original. My mind had the sequences down but less so the actual images.

It helps that it is the point it moved over to gameplay footage- much of the Smash Bros. Cast has gone through minimal changes to moveset. If you look closely you can see minor changes, like the angle of Link's up-special is less tilted and more horizontal when used in the air.

I love it!!! The Pokemon scene with giant Jigglypuff at the end was what got me, and Duck Hunt as the HAL dog was a stroke of perfection! It also makes me miss Zelda's old voice clips, but that's beside the point. This was a really great recreation!

I agree with your sentiment but at least the epic opening theme song more than makes up for it since the final lyrics before the title screen appears are "Light will guide you on your way to the ultimate fight"
