I just got this myself and i have to agree its a no brainer if you got dewalt batteries. For comparison the ryobi equivalent is 500 and the makita version is i think 800. I got mine for 208 on the most recent prime day price but no doubt its worth it still at 300
I always bring it down to a temp using the AC adapter around 37° before going on batteries then set the temp to 45° while on batteries. I got 12hrs inside on two 8ah batteries and almost 7hrs outside with temps almost 100° on those same batteries.
Whats the biggest dewalt battery you can fit into it? What about flexvolts? I wonder if one of the 15ah flexvolts would fit. Should last a full day or longer with two 15ah in it
I was able to get two aftermarket 8ah batteries to work perfectly giving me 12hrs indoors and almost 7 hrs outside in temperatures almost 100° . You can stick up to a 15ah but you would have to use a smaller battery in the other slot.
Thanks for the quick reply. Just recently joined the dewalt family and ive been checking out all the tools and gadgets that use dewalt batterys. This cooler actually seems like a great deal.
I just got this and no you cant fit 2 10s but you can fit 1 10ah and 1 8ah. You can also fit 1 12ah and 1 5ah powerstack but not a normal 5ah with that. It only needs 1 battery to run and the 2nd battery is for extended run time so you dont have to worry about a weak link battery. Hope this helps
@@ThomasHatfield-iw9iw yea basically thats the 2nd best combination is 2 8s. 1 10 and 1 8 is the most ah you can fit. You can fit a 12ah and a 4ah slim which would be the same as 2 8s but the 5ah powerstack i dont think works in it at all. It fits and shows voltage but says F on the screen im guessing for fault. I dont try it for long to see if it was working but probably not as i saw another guys video showing the 5ah powerstack doesnt work on with battery adapters and other non legit dewalt products. Theres a communication between the tool and the battery with those 5ah powerstacks. Definitely a bummer
@@ThomasHatfield-iw9iw 1.7ah powerstack work but not the 5ah powerstack. I have the little mini high volume air blower and jus got the plastic welder today and the 1.7 does work. A co worker of mine even tried the 5ah powerstack on a makita with a battery adapter and it doesnt work on there either but other batteries do
