Monke deleted from zeta halo 2021. believe it or not, this is only my second try against this dude. I died and thought hey I still got that one marine from the last video imma take his sentinel beam. #Halo
Took me literally like 20 times to finally beat him. The first time I died it check-pointed at the worst spot. When I finally killed him I had to stop playing the game for an hour to calm myself down from the literal primal screams I was giving off lol
Lol It took my like 10 minutes to beat him. But im playing on Heroic tho. I will do Legendary next. I died like 5 times tho because i didn't know he could jump that far with the hammer.
First Run: Normal - Fought With Mangler and Commando - 17 mins, multiple tries, successful run took 3+ minutes Second Run - Heroic - Fought with Arcane Sentinel beam and Riven Mangler - less than 1 minutes, first try, didn't even use the mangler
I, uh, on my second try, dodged his hammer in such a way it threw me up onto a portion of the wall that has a small ledge/slope, and I was able to stand there, out of melee range, shooting all my weapons into him while he stood still.
@@thatsblue3023 it took me 5 hours to beat Chak'lok on Legendary LASO, I just couldn't wrap my head around how fast he moved and my reptile brain shut down when he would disappear entirely and reappear somewhere close to you. Sniper and Battle rifle were NOT the weapons to beat him, definitely needed something with shock or Light
The only question I have is where the heck was he hiding? Was he a follower of Drax and has mastered the art of standing so still he becomes invisible?
I know right! My first play through on normal, I had only a sidekick. I looked thoroughly before pressing the buttons to end the mission and this happens. Was the hardest fight I had on infinite (and the last time I activated any console without 2 decent guns loaded with ammo)
I spent 20 minutes trying to get 2 marines with arcanes into the tower with me. I don't know if this is a glitch but when i turned on the switch there was no cutscene, he just appeared behind me and tried to kill me. Me and the 2 marines killed him in 20 seconds
Max Tunks Takes a bit more on Legendary. The crazy thing is that the weapon that ended up doing him in for us was me and my friend shooting plasma pistols at him because we ran out of all other ammo. Satisfying to finally see him fall after we each died around 30 times or so.
I killed him in a single second. Took my time gathering every fusion coil in the excavation site and piled it where he spawns, then shot one with a mangler and got on with the mission
@@christopherdockery574 I figured out that the grapple hook stuns her, and I was able to just keep melee her. Lol. I didn't have to avoid her electric insta kill she had to run from me.
I died so many times against him until I accidentally grappled on top of a ledge above a doorway and realized he glitches out and can't hit me while I'm up there.
I also found the rushdown gravity hammer in the excavation site on legendary. Easilly stun him with lvl 3 grappling hook and killed him with the rushdown gravity hammer.
Face it 4 times as I finished campaign and all 4 difficulties. Easy : Rockets and BR Normal: BR and Skewer Heroic: Sentinel Beam Legendary: Scorpion gun If you’re not using the scorpion tank gun cheat then sentinel beam is definitely the easiest
try the rushdown hammer it can be found some where outside near the laser its somewhere like a cave i used it and killed him in 3 batters on legendary don't believe me got to the channel MKlceandFire thats exactly how i defeated him

well actually u can use the rushdown hammer kills him in 3 hits its located nearby say if the laser is firing north then u can find it in a hangar like cave southeast lying besides 2 ravagers ( btw u need to be good at mapping to know this)
I didn't realize there this was the full cutscene...first time I fought him it must have been a glitch. I brought a marine with me in a mongoose and they started fighting right after I plugged the Weapon into the switch in this scene, and it abruptly ended. Bassus had no health bar and I killed him in 4 Grav Hammer hits on Heroic.
So, similar story. I brought a machine gun into the room where you fight the red energy sword elite assassin dude just because I always carry those kind of weapons as far as I can, and I killed him in about 30 seconds with it
There's actually a beam in the room behind the control that you can perch yourself up on and hit him from a distance, he doesn't jump after you up there
I had an arcane sentinel beam ready, but when the fight started, I threw a shock grenade(don't know the actual name of it) at him and a chain reaction happened and the dude exploded to death in less than a second. Still can't believe it. Lol
I was able to get a marine up in the room with an arcane sentinel beam today. He got his shield down before the cutscene even ended and only took about 30 seconds after that. It was my first try on legendary, I was feeling great. Then it took me at least 15 tries to beat the Spartan slayer duo which grounded me back in reality
You can actually take marines into the fight. I've managed to get two into the room with me (for some reason, the other three run away and go wait outside by the back cargo door). Long story short: two marines with the arcane sentinel beam, plus that rocket launcher in the corner, and Bassus lasts all of two seconds.
@@DrDreamsicle Bro same 😂 I rolled up to the entrance with my Warthog full of marines then that cutscene of the lasers turning on played and they were instantly vaporized 😞
pro-tip from a person who beat the game on Legendary LASO; you can stand on top of the door frames, as long as you keep hitting him he cant throw grenades, he stares at you until he dies you can also grapple slide through the lazerbeam blocking the entrance, skipping this boss.
Dude I was so unlucky with my weapons and I did not expect him, I died a ton and when I finally got him my very last bullet of both guns was the one that killed him
The Arcane Sentinel Beam is an absolute treasure. …and probably also the reason that Hardlight Recharge stations are rarer than legendary pokémon in this game… God, I love going on rampages with that monstrosity. Although the most practical application of the ASB is unpacking five of them at a FOB, giving them to the marines there, packing everyone into a Razorback and then watching as Brute Chieftains, Zealots and HVTs get discorporated by the UNSC's cannon fodder.
On my legendary playthrough I had a few marines armed with the arcane sentinel beams that somehow survived up to Bassus. One of them killed him immediately after the cutscene ended. Like not even two seconds and he was vaporized lol
I cheesed him there's the window thing directly behind the console that divides the bridge thing from the 2 tier level behind...you jump back and forth and use your radar he runs in circles while you reload the skewer lol. There's a skewer right there on the window too.
The first time I played Bassus, it took me a day or two to beat him. However combing the dig site map, there are some decent weapons hidden. I held a gravity hammer in reserve, three or four strikes and Bassus was done.
I went into the fight unknowingly with an energy sword, it wasn't that hard. Shoot him, stick a few grenades, bounce around with the grapple like you're in a tumble dryer, handful of good sword lunges, ded. Red hunters are much longer battles and more annoying. I noticed how quickly they turn in Infinite compared to the other games. No doubt to balance the grapple but they are so much faster their difficulty is ramped up significantly.
I love that though. Finally the Hunters felt like a serious threat. Usually they're jobbers but in Infinite I had to respect them even with maxed out gadgets if I didn't have a heavy weapon on me.
that made it look like he was on easy mode wtf lol. i think i skipped him as boss fight in my laso run but if somehow i loop back to it this is gonna be my go to
lol this is so funny to me. I killed him first try with the arcane and realized later that it was supposed to be a hard boss. The first boss you meet is easily the hardest, took me like half an hour just for him 😢
I played on heroic my first play through and for almost eve boss fight I was good to go/had good gear. The bassus boss fight threw me off though since I wasn’t expecting it. I was super underprepared for that fight lol
Just outside of the building you fight him in there's one of those large storage crates with a rocket launcher and a minigun or two. I carried up two miniguns to his boss room, started the fight, and turned him into swiss cheese. I love the open-ended nature of Halo fights.
When I fought bassus on normal, it took me a little bit over 10 times, and the final attempt I got so lucky you'd think I found a baby pink sheep in minecraft. I somehow lured him into fusion coils and he lunged at them and then exploded. That left him with a sliver to health, so I took out a good dps precision weapon, and he died, and I was so annoyed that it took me almost 20 minutes I had to stop playing for the day.
On legendary I just grappled the ceiling and landed on top of the door frame right behind you. Compete accident of course but Bassus couldn't hit me at all and just paced back and forth 😂
Nothing in this game was super hard but I’ve been playing halo for 20 years the grappling hook is just so op in terms of moment speed like this guy I use it when they charge to set up a kill shot on brutes and when outside I use the high ground to kill them
I heard how tough he was, so I came prepared. Ravager plus the Rushdown Hammer, which I got from a dead chieftain that I didn't kill from an underground section way before I unlock it for some reason. Granted it was on Heroic & I took a few tries but it was fucking satisfying killing him with his own weapon of choice.
The first time I fought this a hole I was struggling with it so hard until I grappled the top of the doorway and accidentally found it I could cheese it just by sitting up there.
I actually thought he was really easy to kill because of the grap you can evade all of his strikes and fly around to the other side of the structure and wait for him to arrive screaming and fly above him again endlessly like a mosquito
Fighting this boss I turned into Spiderman in the room below as I kept swinging with grapple for my life and used my battle rifle and plasma rifle to slowly chip away his health. Of course after dumping all my grenades at him.
everyone: i killed him on legendary by cheesing the battle and using tank gun and glitches me who beat him on legendary with pulse carbine and needler: THERE GLITCHES AND TANK GUNS?!
Same here first time I beat him with a battle rifle, plasma carbine and a skewer. I would probably still be fighting him if I hadn't accidentally grapple shot myself onto one of the doorway legdes and killed him with a slew of well places headshots.
Rough fight. After having such a hard time on heroic, I my legendary run I just stacked up every explosive coil I could find where he spawns and nuked him the moment the fight started
I went into this fight for the first time fully believing that it was gonna be the toughest fight ever because of all the videos and stories. And then I fully owned his a** with my SPNKR and gravity hammer.
When I started this fight I had a needler with max ammo and a skewer with 7 shots. Supercombines did as much as 3 skewer shots and stunned him. Skewer did tons of damage. I beat him on Legendary on my 2nd try and I’m so happy I did
on my first play-through, he killed me like 5-10 times, tried it with this thing but blew up the explosive to the left as soon as he went past it, and legit killed him in like 30 seconds or less. I was stunned af/thought I found an exploit or something lmao
Nicely done. Legendary? Also, your teabagging needs training - let me help you. Don't spaz out like an over-excited kernel in the popcorn kettle; rather, flow. Feel. Savor every dunking, like steady, drawn-out sips from a frothy coconut smoothie. Your fallen enemies, even Bassus, will appreciate the care you put into it.
If you just jump back and forth from the barrier that’s to the right once the boss fight starts he’ll run around back and forth and once he’s up to you just jump back over I finished it first try on legendary like that, just for anyone that’s having trouble with him!👍🏽
Legendary.. half BR mag.. empty needler.. 3 berserkers nonstop chasing me to skull fuck me.. I gave myself a concussion from constantly bashing my head with the controller.
I just fought Bassus today carried one of the scrap cannons all the way there. Fun fact, when fully spun up, the scrap cannon will stagger on every shot. I stunlocked him into a corner, and it was over in about 5 seconds.
i brought a group of marines all with the arcane sentinel beam with me for it on LASO and it was about 30 seconds long, you can see them shoot the beam during the cutscene when Bassus picks you up and its hilarious
