fun fact, the only reason raito had to sing for this song was because they couldn't find a female vocalist in time, literally just said "fine, i'll do it myself" and killed it lol
Learning that Raito sang this and just went uncredited for years because he just saw himself as another instrument is the best thing to ever happen to me
I always knew that the composer had to provide the vocals for the opening, but learning decades later that said composer were Raito, the guy who has been and still is doing all of French Bread's music to this very day from the humble Glove on Fight all the way to Under Night In-birth and Type Lumina really emphasizes how amazing this guy is. His style usually swings back and forth between atmospheric and rocking tracks, which makes it hard to compare many of his pieces to other fighting game composers, but I'd still say that he's the only fighting game composer that could challenge Daisuke Ishiwatari for the title of most consistently amazing long-time fighting game music composer in my eyes. If UNI 2's remixed themes are any indication, the man has yet to stop improving his craft.
the plot of the first melty is just as serious as tsukihimes wdym, the one thats an actual carnival is kagetsu tohya if anything, and even that had its fair share of serious moments
@@t-universegamer7609 the scene where Shiki and SHIKI just hang out like brothers would before they say their goodbyes for good was a random knife in the heart
I think that it's very cool how this song sounds badass, horrific, and sad all at the same time. They picked the perfect instruments and arrangements, it's insane.
Yeah from what I can tell by ear, it's a pairing of an ominous synth and driving guitar throughout accompanied by some sick beats that punctuate the vocals, which vacillate between frenetic, uncertain, and cool in mood. Almost like the vocalist is suffering the heat of the night and is struggling to keep a cool head to stifle his boiling blood. Makes for some great tension overall.
Its been a while but this song still lingers in my head for who knows how long and for good reason its a catchy and beautifully done song every listen is awesome
Half of this is blatantly reused sprites and CGs from Tsukihime and Kagetsu Tohya, and it looks like it was made in Sony Vegas. Yet it's still oozing and overflowing with passion. They just don't make 'em like they used to.
Memories bathe in melting blood They awaken in cobalt forest hues The beast roaring in my chest Is taunting me in the depths of the darkest of shadows To my princess veiled in bright white With her perfect brilliance, she dissipates my woes Throughout the twilight, stay right by my side God please, help me sate this thirst before I cave in What's reflecting in your gleaming warm-red eyes The distant midsummer season we held dear to our hearts Bloody-stained clouds drift apart and shine moonlight down on you alone No matter what sorrows spill over like toxic wine I'll love your soul; strengths, faults, and all with each dawn I'll hold this night in my arms for all eternity Dying pale roses down below Are the scarlet rays of moons glistening A mirage of heat wavers up above Hazing a hot storm of crimson air shredding all hope To my princess crowned in ivory With her stainless brilliance, she dances in the snow Throughout the twilight, stay right by my side God please, help me sate this thirst before I cave in What's melting so sweetly like warm crimson jam The fresh aroma of blood that allures me to its delicious taste Our peaceful days shall soon announce their demise with their last encore Far-off memories awaken in the blight distance The rise of dawn will rewind the clock; daybreak's bright hues Moments underneath the moon will transcend for ages To my princess veiled in bright white With her perfect brilliance, she dissipates my woes Throughout the twilight, stay right by my side God please, help me sate this thirst before I cave in What's reflecting in your gleaming warm-red eyes The distant midsummer season we held dear to our hearts Bloody-stained clouds drift apart and shine moonlight down on you alone No matter what sorrows spill over like toxic wine I'll love your soul; strengths, faults, and all with each dawn I'll hold this night in my arms for all eternity
Melrose&Leifu you listened to this as a kid?... So am I right now. A bit funny, considering this game is a spin off of a eroge visual novel/mangs/anime.
@@ceoofjeanneism6777 Melty Blood is just a fighting game, based off Tsukihime, an eroge OP just said they listened to the Melty Blood opening, maybe they just into fighting games idk
Even though I’m new to Tsukihime and Melty Blood (and I’ve become a monstrous Neco Arc Chaos main who is pretty good) it feels nostalgic. It’s as if I’m hearing something from a faint memory lost to time. I just don’t know why. Maybe because it’s so epic that it destroys the modern era’s extremely Intricate anime intros. Who knows. Either way this is an extreme bop
Bro i felt this, lumina is my first melty and i only know about melty because of undernight (i really liked sion/elt) but this puts some sort of feeling of nostalgia rhat i really dont understand
@@zenithdex3181 Ufotable *and* also nasu wanting to branch into the fate series more, he’s wildly successful now and he’s gotten tired of the fate series along with Tsukihime remake coming out this summer so there will be more outside of the fate series Nasu has said since like last year he’s done with the fate series after the LB arc and I’ve heard people say he’s more interested in “working on that vampire game” months ago but I haven’t been able to verify it so more grains of salt than the jalter banner of course. The Tsukihime remake would seem to back that up though
