So tempted to see if I can get a sticker social group going when we move - you guys have so much fun. I'll have to see if it's possible! Also - I love that you're memory keeping in your journal. I started doing the same in my daily/long form journal a few months ago, and it's so nice to be able to look back on photos and things to remember events.
I truly couldn’t recommend it enough Becka! I know when this group first started the physical store didn’t exist yet, so they just met in cafes and libraries 💕
The joy I feel every time I see someone using a travelers notebook!!!!! Also, love the video! "Stationary social" sounds amazing! I wish we had those here!
For sizing book covers in word I always right click on the image and pick "size and position", that lets you type in for example 2cm height and it changes it to that size exactly 💖
hahhhahaaa welcome to the dark side.. xD it all started with memory keeping in my bujo xD now i have an entirely different journal like my bujo and my reading journal i prepare spreads monthly and have recaps etc... and now i got 3 books. i got archer and olive neapolitan to spice it up a little, guess which one is my fave :D my bujo started being redundant recently other than tracking some events and habits :D:D basicaly my bujo gave birth to my memory journal heh xD do i regret it hell noo :D:D:D its genuinely amazing feeling to check back your memories :) i highly suggest to anyone who loves writing and stationary :)
I love this volg ❤ your bubbly personality really shines through... I did have to check my shelves... in case my A&O embroidery square Notebook had fallen through the portal 😂.... it's sooo gorgeous! We both have amazing taste ❤
Hi, Erin, I can't remember in what video of yours I've seen it (cause I'm just binge watching them now), could you please tell me how are the stickers that may be tranfered to the paper called? (stickers that leave a picture on the paper and then you remove the sticker from the page) I tried to find them on Aliexpress but I don't know how exactly they are called (or maybe you'd be so kind to send a link to them?)
You did such a good job describing them! They’re called transfer stickers usually, I used them in my May reading journal stats pages so there are some linked in the description of that video 🥰
Loved this style of video Erin, it was so fun to watch! Also loved the journal kits you made, they were so so cute! I wish I had a bullet journal meet up group near me, that would be so fun! Maybe I’ll start one 🤔
In case you don’t know : when in Word if you double click the picture you have a sizing menu that show in the menu bar. You can then just write 2 cm in the width option… or any other width or height. I find it is quicker and less bungling in my case.
I'm not sure if this works in the Mac version of word, but in the PC version there's an option in the image menu where you can enter the desired dimensions of the image. I'm not sure if it's easier than dragging the images but if you want a specific size it might be?
I really like your example Mother's Day spread! It reminds me of that safety disclaimer at the end of movies, like "No mothers were harmed in the making of this journal sample".
🤣 I did end up doing one in my actual journal with my actual mum in it at the workshop, when I flip through that journal I’ll have to put a sticker over her face!
ok, it's been 30 mins already?? I watched the whole thing without blinking :D I LOOOOVE this type of videos! So cozy and entertaining with all the stationery but also chatting and showing a bit of real life! P.S. watching you here in Ukraine, d r e a m i n g I could ever get my hands on this type of gorg stationery and notebooks! Love and hugs!
Of course, your favorite band is my favorite band.... since i was 10. I want to see them in person SO BAD!!!! did Paris Jackson open for them there?? Brandon Boyd has been my crush for just as long. STELLAR is my absolute favorite song of theirs. Ahhh so jelly!!!
You HAVE to see them Randi, they’re so incredible! They’re kind of the reason my partner and I met waaaay back in 2005 so they’re really special to us 🥰 we’ve seen them on every Aussie tour since then except one, so I think 5 times now? This was a mini-festival so no Paris Jackson, but they co-headlined with Live and were supported by 3 iconic Aussie bands which was great! And they did play Stellar! 😍 such a beautiful song! Morning View is my fav record of theirs so it was wonderful to get to hear some Morning View XXIII tracks too! Keeping everything crossed they bring that tour to us, and bring Coheed and Cambria along too! 😍
I hope they get them out soon, it sucks to wait for journals - especially if you have plans for them and want to start using them! These wholesale deals with global stockists must happen months in advance for us to have them in Australia now 🥲
An Australian stockist - I assume they have some kind of wholesale order system for stationery stores around the world, so Washi Gang probably had these on order months ago too 🥲
I also had to have that Heirloom Journal. I have no idea what I am going to do with it. I have so many Archer and Olive journals just waiting for attention. I have decided to set up a reading journal separate from my bullet journal. Now to choose which one to use. Not the Heirloom, that is waiting for something super special.
I live in Europe and I ordered stationary from an Aussie brand, DAMN, the shipping and custom, it has more than double the price of the items but there is such nice stuff from Aussie shops.
I love your collage spreads. I do two full spreads at the end of every month. I go through my phone's gallery for the month, print off mini photos and collage all my favourite memories. when I first started Bullet journaling, other than a calendar, this was all my journal consisted of haha!!
So I was disappointed you did not say “the rug really tied the room together” from The Big Lebowski😅 I started memory journaling but in individual long-term journals. I have one for travels/day trip and one for shows/cinema/theatre. I am just starting this year so not a lot to report yet but I am sure that I will be happy to look at them and reminisce soon enough. Can’t wait to receive my Archer & Olive journals. Should be shipping soon but has a long way to travel.
I'm trying bullet journaling this year and have kept up with it so far ~ sort of. I don't use the planner pages for much other than noting holidays, birthdays, and some special events. So I may scale those back to one spread only. I only have three habit trackers: journaling, home (cleaning/projects), and adventure (get out of the house). Those are working for me! I have space for monthly memory highlights. My main journal is nothing but memory keeping and is where I spend most of my journaling and creative time. I wish I could find more videos dedicated to decorating such journals, but everything I see is bullet journals, planners, and reading journals. Yours are so pretty! Maybe I'm searching the wrong keywords. I'm not sure what my style is called. It's not really a scrapbook journal or an art journal. It's full of feelings, memories, and thought organizing. Therapy with flair!
I love journalling vlogs like this, so glad to hear that this will be a series! Such a fun and cosy video 🥰 Also, in Word there is a function to resize an image by typing in the dimensions you want. I found this handy when I wanted specific dimensions 🙂 (Apologies if you already know this!)
Canva also has a similar feature which I recently discovered! I had looked before but couldn’t find it. Has made my life so much easier when printing photos for my journalling! 🙂
Loving the Vlog and the memory book. I’ve been using my travels as my inspiration for decorating my months and weeks, etc. A different city or country each month. It’s been super fun and a great trip down memory lane. I’ve already bought a dedicated memory journal to start on 😂
Hmmm…I know they have names, but I didn’t pay too much attention to them. One is a medium to large brown tote for work. And the other is a small blue one that I’m calling my summer purse. They are both lovely.
As you lit the candle ( 13:40 ) I got to thinking about how I miss when I'd put an extinguished match down without fear, whereas now that I'm older and live in a region prone to extreme forest fires I still dip it in water before throwing it out. No lingering enjoyment, here. *sad face *
