Thanks for that! I have learnt a little more about humanity today. I like your perspective on the world being a kind place at the moment, because I've seen so much of the other side of that and it's easy to forget. I have not thought of it that way for a quite a while but I've realised I just didn't see it. I would also agree with your counsellor about your photography, you're good at it. It's also much easier to 'talk' about mental health when you're looking at something else. I've been a mentor for a young person and they often tell you important stuff in the car, when you're not making eye contact, so wandering up a path while you're talking about this stuff makes it much more likely to sink in. I've accessed counselling myself and I really wish I'd done it in my 20s rather than in my 50s because there were so many things I worried about that were just not important and I used up a lot of time and life on them. It is also much easier to listen to a regular guy, maybe slightly rambling but in a good way, and out in the countryside which gives you a very natural sense of perspective, so it's all a good combination - and one I've not seen anybody else do! You've also reminded me that England in December is still photogenic in its own way (I'm also a photographer) and to get back out there with my camera. So thanks for that - did not expect to come across that on a rainy Sunday morning in Leeds!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write what you did. I think the best thing I can say about this film is there is so much more understanding from those around me, especially my work that’s made it so much easier for me day to day. Something just came out right that day but it was like being in a rain forest!! I think it’s only now I’ve had more views than bites that day. All the very very best Paul
What an amazing, brave and inspiring story. I can't put into words how much I needed to see this right now. I was diagnosed with ADHD in October 2023 and I can really relate to how powerful a diagnosis and explanation can be. Well done. Glaz.
Paul, this is a real eye opener - it just goes to show that you can never see what's going on with people - you seemed so level headed compared to a lot of the people I know that I would never had known your back story had you not told it. Truly great - and well done in coming to terms with things... it seems to have been liberating for you. And i love that yu have been creating these videos for people during lock-down, it must be a slice of freedom for many people. Good on you! Love the ending too! Magic hahah!
Summit Or Nothing Leave it all behind Trev and aim for the sky. Weirdly I had no idea I was going to jump and fly off until I did it. Somewhat unexpected even for me and that’s the truth. Thank you ever so much bud, we sort of started together and let’s keep this going! Paul
Derek Spencer It wasn’t easy in one way but in another it was so easy to do as I didn’t have to remember anything. Thank you for your kindness and hopefully we’ll all stay safe. Paul
I've missed a few of your videos Paul - not seen them notified. Any way, thanks for sharing your story and views. I find it essential to talk. Through the loss of my twin brother who I lived with and spent my life with talk on the street - anywhere has enabled me to keep in touch. Keeping in touch is critical otherwise that dark place could and does kill. I've wanted to go more times than I can count but like you I am still here talking. Good going. Mark
I’m just about to go for a walk and thought I’ll try out one of yours...but I couldn’t think of the best way to respond to this until now...since I’ve known you you’ve always managed to put a smile on my face because of your passion and I have to say that you may not be a label but you are an amazing guy with a lot of important stuff to say which helps so many people (including me), especially now! Keep it up and don’t change!
Hey Paul, such a great video, glad you seem to be doing so well buddy after some difficult times. Just found your channel and you should be well proud of yourself, respect✊ . This is Ian’s cousin btw
G3Lee Thank you buddy! Lovely to hear from you Lee and this particular video has brought up a lot of comments. Really do hope to see you all soon as I definitely feel part of the family! Paul
Love the videos Paul! And the best therepy going to take our minds away from the crazy times we live, is to get our backpacks and boots on and get to the hills. Me and my wife are doing snowden on 23rd July and after watching your ranger path video, it has pursuaded us both to do it over the llanberis route. Keep up the great work, and keep the possitive vibes going 👍
CHRIS P Wow thank you Chris! Blown away by that. I really am. It’s an incredible way up and my top advice is that when you reach the bit after I say I’ve had my lunch, walk about 1mph. It’s odd to say to slow down but it really works on that bit! Genuinely thank you and let me know how it goes. Paul
@@pauljones401 thanks for the valuable advice, it will be the first time up snowden for My mrs, we have been doing some training on Mam Tor over Lockdown, from were you parked on your videos up the broken road (blue john mine) to the summit across the ridge to the bottom loosehill pike then back up and do the ridge in reverse. Hopefully that will get us in Snowden zone. You never know might see you up there one day.
@@pauljones401 hi Paul. We ended up doing the ranger path on Friday, due to poor conditions on Thursday. Go glad we stumbled over your video, and so thankful for your advice. You are so right, and totally agree that the ranger path is one of the most stunning routes of Snowden. Unfortunately no train echo on our walk. Hope all is well, thanks again 👍
CHRIS P Thank you for letting me know!! That’s brilliant to hear. It’s so underused that path but my definite favourite. The films are obviously helping people in many ways which has been fantastic! Thanks again Paul
Great honesty mate, I’ve passed on your walks to quite a few members of the local community who had nothing but praise for you & your videos. Keep up the great content mate.👍
