U.S. commentators must learn to apply commentary to the race at hand. they so often just start talking some random crap while the race is on, grrrrr! Let the Brit do it.
Kyle Verbunt Murphy showed out here and I was impressed. Brazier is just breezing through (no pun intended) in these trials. He came in 2nd here and didn’t even look like he was pushing it too much. And my boy Bryce Hoppell is in.
@@zaynes5094 Donavan is not looking like his fitness is there. I'm hoping that I'm wrong, but him and Hoppel don't look as smooth as they have in previous years.
@@bryanjohnson6634 Yeah, Okay. He looked fine in all two races to me. He is saving up, just like Hoppel, for the finals. Plus Hoppel won his semifinals heat. Brazier was running with Clayton Murphy who’s been here before. Brazier’s first trials didn’t go well because he didn’t have the strength he has now.
@@zaynes5094 once again....I hope that I'm wrong as I'm a huge Brazier fan and I want to see him win. However, he and Hoppel don't look as good as they have in past years. This could be due to the fact that they are trying to peak by the Olympics games. And as far as him not making the team prior to this year. He's more than made up for that by becoming the world champion!
@@zaynes5094 so now that the finals have concluded, I'll repeat what my concerns were as this proved what I was seeing from Donavan Brazier and Hoppel (and yes I'm aware that Hoppel made the team). They both under performed to their abilities.
Well that glowing endorsement didn't age well. If Brazier had run the final with the kind of patient strategy he used in this race, he would be going to Tokyo. Instead he got caught up in surging after a front runner with over 400m to go. It was the mother of all tactical errors. But we haven't seen the last of Brazier. It was just one horrible race at the worst time possible.
