MEN OF VALOR (REVIEW 2023) 

One of my uncles that served in Vietnam used to tell me about how they’d go into the villages and kill anything that moved. Hes an alcoholic.

I'm 39 years old and this game started my xbox live journey over twenty years ago. We used to have LAN parties for days with this game. The multiplayer was so good.

Such a classic, played through this a few years ago and loved it. It gets some hate over the dated visuals and gameplay, but if you can look past that it’s pretty good

I played this every night after school, im 31 now😐.... the game was pretty much dead by the time i got it, like the same 20 people were online every night, im from the uk but i had buddies online from usa and Australia etc it was an amazing time when online gaming was really taking off but to have such a small community of people to play with was so cool and such a rare experience. Ive been waiting for a vietnam game ever since😒

i played this game more than twice ..was beautiful. I wish there was helicopter mission where Dean flew. it was bloody and hard and so many boobytraps And boy everytime i died in this game, i wanted to break something

You can cheat your way through the game, I don't remember them, but it has 2 cheat codes for infinite ammo and God mode

I am nostalgic for this game and the many good memories I've had playing it back in the day, but I can agree that it's not an S tier generational game although I think some people make it seem worse than it actually is. That being said even upon more recent playthroughs I still appreciate aspects of the game, most notably the atmosphere and immersion you've also mentioned and it's one of those things from my childhood that I attribute my current videogame taste to. I probably wouldn't have even touched RS2 if I hadn't played this as a child.

I just got this game never played it before. It was like 4 bucks on steam. I fucking love the game it’s awesome. I get to live through what grandpa lived through.

The FOV can be altered in the ini files.Also the res can be set to 1920*1080 by a simple hack.

I still have the game loved it but can't get passed the level when you have to go up the hill where you have to crawl and man damn that game is badass though

For it's faults, this had some pretty decent xbox live play back in the day.

Far Cry 1 came out that long ago now!? Damn. I want to like Men of Valor, but the health system alone annoyed me to the point I stopped playing. Wish they'd do a new game similar to this, but backed by today's tech. Gonna cover Shellshock 2 Blood Trails? Makes Men of Valor look like a masterpiece by comparison.

Man that '04 review really aged well comparing it to the current age of gaming, I do hope whoever wrote that review is alive and well, I didn't play the game so I didn't care if you were ripping it to shreds, but nice to see another video

I literally just bought an oh Xbox for this game and conflict vietnam

I grew up playing this game on xbox, at one point, I actually beat the game. I'm now 25 attempting to replay it on PC and fighting for my life against the bad saves and lack of ability to fire on the move. I love the game, but this one is harder than it should be.

I think the game is pretty fun allthough frustrating at times and I think everyone who wants a oldschool vietnam Shooter experience should buy it since no one really plays battlefield Vietnam anymore and Vietcong is not available on steam but rather only on suspicious Chinese websites.

Love ps2 it’s my favorite era but I know exactly what he means by bad game mechanics. Seem unfair lol newer shooters almost seem far easier then the older.

I loved this game.

Played this game like a year ago, it was my first legit purchase on steam and though i bought it during sale, i still don't like it. I played Vietcong 2 not long after and imo it's better than Men Of Valor, they both emphasized the horrible aspects of the Vietnam war but Vietcong 2 just got it right, especially with the voice lines ( i'm Vietnamese so i can understand Vietcong voice lines in the game, Vietcong 2 has many memorable and unique voice lines than in Men Of Valor, they both have repetitive voice lines but in Men Of Valor, every Vietcongs in every missions just feel like they're the same enemies despite their different uniforms ). And i think what ruined the game was the way that the devs of 2015 Inc worked on it, they made a huge success with Medal Of Honor series back in the day, however i think they they kept sticking to the method of making ww2 games which ended up ruining Men Of Valor, playing Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault feel somewhat similar to Men Of Valor, that was my experience.

I wanted to play this game on PC but it runs horribly on modern hardware

When I start the game, I can´t actually see it until I stop the game. Then it pops up but shuts down. Eventhough I can´t see the game I can hear the sounds in the backround. Can somebody help?
