What are you talking about? As a queer person, I can tell you the gays LOVE this sh!t. There's a whole show called "Ru Paul's Drag Race" where they constantly reference gay portrayals, gay icons, gay allies, etc. You've literally got "Priscilla Queen of the Desert", "To Wong Foo", "Birdcage" where straight actors portray gay culture in a comedic tone and queer folk absolutely enjoy these types of portrayals. It counts as representation, and imitation is a form of flattery. Not to mention the Wayans have gay family members, so these jokes were never out of disrespect or anything.
If it were performed today, LGBT would be all over social media bitching, protesting in streets, claiming they were being profiled and discriminated against and start some lame ass #hashtag movement......... Social media is our downfall because any ignorant mf'er with a smart phone can now access internet and put their two cents in on anything they want to when they should just keep their mouth shut
@@brianintn I somewhat agree with you. I had no issues watching this in the 90's when i was in high school. I raised no protest, boycott or any bullshit like that. It is simply good comedy. Real funny shit.
@@brianintn I knew several gay men, Black and White, when these skits were aired. None of them was offended. In fact, they loved them. They laughed harder than I did.
HAHA! I just saw that walk! Fucking funny shit. I grew up on Kids in the Hall and SCtv thanks to my parents and then Livin Color came out when i was a little older and was so faaar ahead of everything else imho. First few seasons were ridiculous. Stunk as people left the quality of the show started to drop.
These guys couldn't look at each other doing this. Because they would laugh during it. Dorothy wished she could go back to Kansas I laughed so hard at this.
The makers of "Bengay" decided to switch the name for the Mexican market. Apparently, they deemed it better to spell "Bengué" than have people get confused with something ending in "gay" ^o^
....it wasn't a diss, we all knew that about her....she had issues like everyone else.....SHE WAS JUST BEAUTIFULLY FEMININE....and broken. She still stands as an ACTUAL ICON, known around the world, by those who's parents weren't even thought of when she died. This means across race, money etc. it was agreed, and spoken on....that it still exists... again, flawless, indeed....no surgery required.
Seriously ahead of it's time...loved the sponsors lol...and the way they got through these and tried to keep the laughs in...Where are Ms. Mona's eyebrows...lol "I think somebody went a little tweezer crazy"...My goodness these two are Icons!
"I mean 2 Kennedy's AND a Mafioso, that trash was working overtime!" Blaine was doing me with that hat too. We're gonna have to give this one two snaps up, in a circle.
I live in Australia and when this show was on Australian tv in the 90's you had to watch it late at night as it was not shown during prime time. I loved sitting up late to watch these skits as they were so funny. Unfortunately due to political correctness and the woke culture I don't think comedians would be able to do this kind of comedy anymore which is a pity.
They’d have to be VERY, VERY careful with the dialogue. But if these two were to ever pop up in a Superbowl commercial, it would seriously break the internet. All us 90’s kids are dying to see them again.
Who are the hateful b****es who gave this a thumbs down? Damon & David, 2 very masculine men, were so ahead of the times w the "Men On" skits, excellent acting, hilarious writing, Blaine & 'Toine developed their characters over the series (wardrobes & all😂) - gotta love it all! I need them to patent a special "snaps up" just for them❤
Jim Carrey overshadowed his immense talent with his Trump Derangement Syndrome and crazy political views just like Robert De Niro. Both men live in a bubble and have forgotten what it is like to work hard for living for little pay like most Americans.
