Why Kasaun even entered knowing he wasn't going to "step on the gas", is puzzling. His best times to date would have placed him in the finals and a favorite to place in the top three......

@Michael Quillen. You can't vote for him in 2032 as he still won't be old enough. You gotta be 35 in the USA to run. You gotta wait until 2036... Plus he might be on Olympic team in 2032 as he will only have just turned 32.
Not surprising. The attention he receives would lead you to believe he's better than he actually is. For the record he has yet to break 10 seconds in the 100 or 20 seconds in the 200. I'm not saying he's not good but he's definitely overrated.
Yes, if you completely ignore the fact that he is the best in the nation at an event and possibly the best long jumper in the country it is much easier to call him overrated.

@@oldfrend He won the NCAA indoor 200 in 2021 and recorded the best long jump of 2022. That is how they measure talent and ability, not the opinion of some random guy on the internet.
Did the announcer not know that Eli Hall just made a US team? And won many races this season over 60m? I'd say you've arrived when you're on a team with Christian Coleman.

I mean anyone can be dominant. If I run with a bunch of 4 year olds then I'm dominant. Matt isn't dominant on the national level though. And I mean like NATIONAL level. Like Kenny B, Fred Kerley, Michael Norman, Noah Lyles level.
