that 19.26 will forever shock me. even more than Usains records, only because I genuinely believed nobody would ever get close to 19.19 in atleast 20 years
Its pretty far fetched considering what usain had already accomplished before noah's age. Noah's better compared to tyson gay or walter dix not usain. If usain came out of retirement in his 30's hed be back dominating no doubt
I salute Yohan Blake for this particular race. He almost defeated the world record of 19.19. Even the great usain bolt was shocked. He is second greatest sprinter after Bolt. 19.26 looks unbreakable.
Noah Lyles is being pushed as the new face of sprinting, and he may get there, but to put it in perspective Bolt had already put down a 9.58 and a 19.19 at the same age as Lyles. So unless he's somehow gonna shave .5 off his 200m time I think Bolt will remain king in the 200. Coles may be a better candidate over the 100, with his remarkably quick start. Still though he hasn't beaten Bolts 40m split yet either. I really enjoy these two young sprinters but damn I wish Bolt could have run forever
Blake's 19.26 will always awe me. Sure, he had a favourable track compared to some of the other times here, but for a stocky, 5'11 Jamaican who focuses more on power and natural speed over stride length and endurance, that has to be as equally impressive as Bolt's 19.19
I've been waiting for this video since the video of 100m! Lyles is the best 200m sprinter for now but Yohan Blake is the legend for me forever.I hope he's coming back to 200m again.
@@chadhamilton1513 Yohan Blake was better than Tyson Gay hands down. Yohan Blake has beaten Bolt in both the 100 and 200m, he has the second fastest times ever in both events. What more he needed to prove? 2016 Olympics Bolt knew he wouod have had problems if blake was healthy
@@chadhamilton1513 Thats true but Blake ran 9.69 also. I think it was fractionally wind aided though. I am gonna say something that will upset you and i hope not too much. In my opinion Justin Gatlin was more of a Rival for Bolt than Gay.
@@berbanedash7935 Tyson gay would have been able to stay healthy he would have been that dude against bolt go back and look at when he was healthy nobody but bolt could touch him I don't take anything away from yohan he was a bad man Gatlin a bad man but gay was that dude
When Bolt ran 19.19 he had previously ran the series and semi-final. And a WR on the 100m. Ik think that he might have had ran under 19s if he wasn't fatigued
Love watching Yohan's 19.26 if he just had a got a better start definitely a world record. Sigh if Bolt never existed he would have gotten alot more respect. Most people (not true track fans) don't understand how great of times Yohan ran.19.26(With a poor start) and 9.69 is no joke.
@@darkness1978 not to mention it was cold. Bolt with perfect conditions was atleast capable of sub 9.5 and Asafa Powell really showed he could’ve been the 2nd fastest but it didn’t show and there’s no if.
IF! Bolt ran it while being fatigued and into a headwind of -0.3 on a perhaps slower track. Bolt's is more impressive and that start could've made Blake run faster. He didn't rush himself so more energy. There is no if since you will never really know what would've happened. Though that 19.26 is still absolutely amazing
I'll never not be mesmerized by that last 100m on Yohan's 19.26, it HAS to be faster than the final 100m on Bolt's 19.19, cause his start really wasn't that good, if he had a blistering start we may have seen a world record that day
3:59 I'm over here like " he runs exactly like Usain Bolt exactlyyy like him it's odd" only to see it is him ahaha I really wasn't paying attention to the part where they showed it was him lol.
@@tyefewatson202 actually he does have the 4th fastest 200 ever. First is Bolt with 19.19, 2nd is Blake with 19.26 and third is Johnson with 19.32. Lyles is fourth with 19.50
Bolt was a master of running a race riddled with mistakes and still coming out the victor. Bro there are some videos in which he tells to look to your side and see if anyone is close to you. (as his tips) He had a horrible start,(I have a theory that it was on purpose after his DQ in WC 2011) , looked two or three times in between races, never leaned (and if he did it was before the finish line) and celebrated before the race was even won. In Rio he literally looked back and smiled! And nevertheless this great man's records are unparalleled and no one has even come a shade close to his records. The only exception is Blake in the 200 m above.
For all those who compare Blake and Gay, I agree they're both marvelous runners in their own right. However let's play with some numbers: Blake and Gay are both the 2nd fastest in the 100 m at 9.69 seconds. That pace for the 200 m would be a 19.38. Blake has not only kept this pace but has bettered it with a 19.26. Gay however only managed a 19.58. No disrespect it's a mighty good time- it's Maurice Greene's 100 WR pace - but it doesn't even touch a 19.26.
A little bit of sprinting education guys, Blake ran into a +0.7 wind Bolt ran into a -0.3 headwind. A negative headwind is slowing you down, a plus wind is helping you.
Bolt rock star of Athletics period even in retirement, there is no one no one that’s even close to his star and talent quality, I give credit to the warrior Justin Gatlin he showed up he challenged Bolt he praised him he thanked him he even bow down and paid homage to the great man after defeating him, I think the greatest 200m diamond league race on this list is Blake vs Dix!
Yohan Blake destroyed Walter Dix's career with that 19:26. Take nothing away frm Yohan’s 19.26. But it shows how great Bolt’s 19.19 is since he did it after 100m & 200m rounds. While, Yohan didn’t do rounds.
I feel for Walter Dix talented guy but like Charles Barkley Patrick Ewing and some of the greats got shut out of a championship because of the Great Michael Jordon Dix had to deal with The Great Usain Bolt and also Yohan Blake
ALL PARTICIPANTS IS STAMINA FULL, STRONG FULL, TECHNICAL FULL, PRACTICE FULL, ENERGY FULL AND POWERFUL.................. BUT WINERS IS WONDERFUL.........
Man, 200m would've been interesting if the line up is Bolt, Blake, Gatlin, Gay, Lyles all together in the same race. It's like 2012 Olympics final 100m. All star sprinters.
Very strange configuration of the stadium in Brussel in 2011. The end of the relay landmark is still on the turn. Blake has usual for him start 10.20 but then he run 9.06 the second hundred (Bolt in 2009 9.34, Johnson in 1996 9.21, Lyles in 2022 9.29) and even Blake in London will be able only 9.29. So where he got 9.06 for the second hundred I don't know)Maybe the stadium helped him) And Walter Dix. His second hundred 9.36, but it's very fast for him. He usually ran faster the first hundred but he wasn't been good at the second part. His normal time 9.6-9.7. It's very very strange)))I don't believe that it was clean
Yohan had to have lost at least a tenth of a second with that terrible reaction time, right? Sheesh, he should have the WR right now. Most overlooked sprinter ever.
No 19.19 start was perfect....It was his finishing (he was tired) + the headwind....If Bolt had a decent tailwind instead and fresh legs he would go sub 19.
My favourite sprinters: xie zhenye, Noah Lyles, trayvon bromell, Christian Coleman, ramil guliyev, asafa powell, christophe lemaitre, abdul hakim sani brown etc
