This is the first train related item from Menards that I ever purchased. This review looks at it closely with lots of photos of the building and video of it in a darkened room. Ultimately, it wasn't for me and I returned it for a refund.
Too bad yours crapped out. I haven't had such bad luck with my Menards structures. Plasticville stuff is fun to dress up, you could probably get some for cheap and paint them to look realistic. Funnily enough, I've been making my layout more of a toy train layout with some earlier Lionel accessories. Good luck with yours.
Good review... I was thinking about getting one of these myself, but have decided to go the Plasticville route instead. Plasticville doesn't take up much space, are plentiful and just asking to be kitbashed.
Wow, at first glance, that does look really cool! Too bad it didn't work out for you. Menards does seem to have quality control issues on certain products. Maybe I will do a print out version like that for one of my layouts.
Spot on n Bob. As you know I have many of these buildings so I have already been thinking ahead. When the great burnout happens I will configure Woodland Scenics more realistic LEDs instead of the strip lights Menards uses. Taco Bell burnout will be a very Bad BIG Bummer day 😢
Good to know! Thanks. Not a real quality product but I think if a person spent some time.. lights, paint, etc. could be a nice building and still a little cheaper than other building manufacturers...🤔.. I guess if your willing to do that might as well build it. Lol Thanks for sharing!👍😃
