I'm in love with this sound so much. Mechanical, not strangled by electronics, and eco-friendly features. It's just a cast iron block that receives a crazy amount of fuel and compressed air, producing clouds of black smoke and a crazy amount of primal torque. The howl of a turbo that seems to suck in all the oxygen under the hood. Powerful diesel the way it should be. A mechanical symphony of power. Hope to see more. That's not the injectors, that is timing rattle. Any diesel will make that sound when the injection timing is advanced especially with a lot of load at low rpm and high fuel rates.
@@Gruby9901 They call it like that yes except that for this amount of power u need to redo your engine and everything. Did u notice in the low rpms the noise that pistons make? This is weekend fun build, 2 days of torture and the engine is done
The sound of knocking injectors for me, it's something special, reminds me of an 525tds that I had that was tuned only for high rpm... the force that you are holding the gear shift shows me that you are a real man, peace bro'
As a “conservative softboy”, I really like the styles of the indirect injected diesel engines-- gentle, smooth, low-vibration, but are bestowed on high revving, always singing in a brisk and lighthearted tone… As opposed to the violent, muscular, aggressive, yet low-in-rpm direct injected diesel engines which are analogous to those hardcore macho men. Forget about the 2500 bar common rail fuel system as well as the piezoelectric injectors shooting and penetrating the air in the combustion chambers with monstrous strength. Low fuel pressure doesn’t mean losing face! Pre-chamber rules! I’m so proud of this tiny old-school Mercedes car. 😎😎
Holy shit! Many people says that M57 engine from bmw is the best but this OM606 is a fucking beast. The sound is awesome.. pure mechanical diesel.. I never knew that they are so powerfull
now that is how an OM606 should sound and drive! Respect! :) On other vids I`ve seen they`ve made them to rev even higher rpms - perhaps around 6000 - that is where I got the ear orgasm :)
It's crazy that I was just thinking about doing something relating to my car and then something like this pops up and says *pure sound* it's almost like there's someone checking the future of my life constantly and letting people know of what's going to happen or not.
