Love the GTs and SLs exterior styling. My 2021 C300 interior still looks better without the iPad screens.

I'm really happy that you had the opportunity to drive the GT. 😃☺️ - But I'm also afraid that the GT virus might have infected you. 😉😅 - In any case, I've already bought my ticket for the lottery. However, it's possible that there will be an SL next to your GT.

In other markets there is also a four-cylinder GT 43 with 415bhp, but that version is not offered in the UK, and I believe this is because there wouldn’t be enough demand for the GT 43 in the UK.

Carwow reviewed this and it’s ok apart from the price IMO, there are some cheap and nasty materials used inside not what you’d expect for that kinda price tag and when you’re talking about performance it still doesn’t match a Porsche turbo S which you can get great deals on now.

@@npoleary haha yes the sticks in there again, i like the look of this car but if the new CLE 63 is as rumoured a V8 it’s going to be cheaper and more practical so i can see Mercedes selling way more of those over this.

Yeah I heard that rumour too…if I get my hands on one I’ll have to check it out. I can’t copy the stick thing though, that’s mat watson’s thing 😜 and the parcel shelf being launched into the bush 😂

@@npoleary yes the comparison would be interesting but for me the praticallity of having a family car with a V8 and killer looks would sway me, if a CLE 63 is the same shape as the 53 i am in as I think it looks stunning.

It was in the UK but at a place called Milbrook Proving Ground. It was an event called SMMT 🙏

Of course Nick to really test it, you need to take it to a council housing estate in Bradford to explore the full potential, ie drive as if you stole it! Great car, alas lottery or a legacy will be my chance of securing! They should give you it for a month to do a review.

How did 100 mph feel to you? - It definitely doesn't feel that fast in the GT, does it? ☺️

@@npoleary 😃👍🏼 Yes, anticipatory driving is even more important at these and even higher speeds. - At 250 km/h (~155 mph) it feels like the Autobahn is getting narrower. 😅

Thanks for your insights Nick as always . Love the V8 and exhaust symphony. Well done AMG for not dropping the 2 litre engine in and then attempting to “sell” the clever tech ( W206 C63 ) Wonder though if MB should have created a bespoke interior and not slid across the SL interior at this price point? Would I take this over an Aston? 🤔 …. If i won the lottery that is!
