What year is that Mercedes you're doing the keyless entry on and I'm guessing it's an ML350? Have an 08 ML350 wondering if the keyless start will work thank you
The Problem: I bought a used S65 MB V12 twin turbo that had only one key. Yep, you got it, I lost the fricken key. I searched for months and could not find that key fob. If took the plunge and bought two new fobs from the local MB DEALER FOR A total OF ALMOST $800! I was told by the parts department that upon delivery these keys would ONLY have the capacity to start the car and open the doors, and the service department told me it would cost another $200.00 per key to program them for keyless entry and keyless go functionality. I went outside and tried the new keys and obtained a ‘key not recognized’ on the display when I pushed the button for each key while my foot was on the brakes. My car battery was not dead and fuse number 7.5 located in slot 8 on many cars was not blown. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and upset! The Solution: I came to RU-vid University and came across this video. I DID EXACTLY WHAT IS DESCRIBED IN THIS VIDEO. Both of my new key fobs were immediately synchronized with the car upon inserting them in the ignition switch. I replaced the push cap as shown in this video. Now, all functions, to include keyless entry and keyless start/go, are working perfectly. Oh to hear the growl of that V12 biturbo engine again! Thank you for sharing and caring.
The car didn't see the fob; therefore I couldn't start the car. I used your procedure; a dialog on the dash said, "initiating fob". Afterwards, I was able to start the car with your method and also keyless.

Random Mercedes MGTOW if it came with keyless go feature you will be able to just install and program your self by just cyleling the key and installing the button but if this keyless go feature did not come from factory then it wont work
Hello, my 2008 S class came from factory with keyless start but the previous owner lost the button. If I buy a new button from eBay will it work out of the box or will I have to get Mercedes Benz to programme it to the car? Many Thanks

Almost noone knows that you can CLOSE the "KeyLessGo" key, so the function of the radio transmission from key to the car is DEACTIVATET! This is for example needed, for theft prevention. Or if you want to wash the car yourself, so that the doors are not constantly closed / opened. It's easy: press 2x CLOSE quick. It can be seen that the control lamp on the key flashes 2x short and 1x LONG. This says, the key is deactivatet. To ACTIVATE you only need to press OPEN once, then everything is - as always! Yes: Mercedes - only the best! .

Hi I just recently purchased a mercedes but I wanted to know with the key do you have to hold your foot on the brake as you would the push start button and then turn the key??
Not on the ML I did this video on. you can see in the video when i used the key i didn't have my food on the brake. They may have changed it in later models. On my Phaeton and Touareg i have to press the brakes to start no matter I'm using key or the button.

when I got my 2012 c250 the dealership just gave me the push button thing with the car, you basically put it in when you want to use it, and pull it out if you don't want it anymore

Keyless go is a REAL POS. The Internet is full of horror stories. Sorry I bought my MB. And Mercedes Benz is keeping quiet on the issue. They should be sued.
